چکیده مقاله:

Graphene, after its first production in 2004 have received lots of attentions from researchers because of its unique properties. High mobility, high sensitivity, high selectivity and high surface area make graphene excellent choice for bio application. One of promising graphene base device that has amazingly high sensitivity is graphene field-effect transistor (GFET). This review selectively summarizes the recent progress in fabrication and application of GFET for various biosensors. This article begins with short description and history of ion-sensitive field-effect transistor (ISFET). After that, advantages of graphene ISFET will be summarized. Then, GFET fabrication process including graphene sheet growth different methods, drain/source electrode deposition and lithography and passivation will be discussed. Finally, different application of GFET in detection of Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), pH and protein will be present and quality of GFET biosensor will be examined.

Biosensing with a Graphene-Based FET

Introduction: A low-cost sensor that continuously and rapidly looks for a range of biomolecules is a longstanding goal for the biosensor community that remains unfulfilled. Such real-time sensors could lead to “more effective point of injury care for Sailors and Marines,” and “enhanced health and warfighter performance both afloat and ashore.”1 The arduous quest for such an “ultimate” biosensor...

Inkjet Printed Fet for Biosensing Applications

The developed bio-field effect transistor (BioFET) consists in nano-silver ink printed source and drain electrodes, a polymeric organic semiconductor, dielectric layer based on methyl methacrylate (MMA) and finally the reference electrode of silver-silver chloride ink. The thickness of the dielectric layer was optimized and characterized by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and by electrical m...

Graphene in biosensing

JULY-AUGUST 2011 | VOLUME 14 | NUMBER 7-8 308 Graphene is a one-atom-thick material consisting of sp2-bonded carbon with a honeycomb structure. It resembles a large polyaromatic molecule of semi-infinite size1, 2. In the past five years, graphene-based nanomaterials have been the focus of a vast amount of attention. The interesting and exciting properties of single-layer graphene sheets, such a...

Gold-graphene oxide based nanocomposites for glucose biosensing application

Glucose is necessary fuel for all cells in our body at normal levels. Today, a large part of our world population is suffering from hyperglycaemia. Its detection in blood samples has to be quick and easy. Although several glucose detecting biosensors are available in the market these days, but still there is a need for highly sensitive and low detection limit sensors. One of the most fascinatin...
