Studies of Hydrogen Bonding Effects on DiPalmitoyl Phosphatidyl Etanolamine (DPPE) by theoretical Methods
Authors
Abstract:
Hydrogen bonding of DPPE with water that surrounded of membrane, plays an important role in permeability ofmembrane that we were presented this matter with analysis of bond angles and torsion angles before and after ofadded water molecules.Interaction with water molecules causes some changes in the geometry of DPPE which were explained bythe contribution of zwitterionic form of DPPE molecule, also hydrated DPPE becomes stabilized. Comparisonbetween theoretical and experimental values of geometry of DPPE molecule calculations at HF/3-21G levelproduce results in better agreement with the crystallography structure. The NMR shielding tensor of selectedatoms in the hydrated complexes of DPPE were reported by ab initio level of theory.

Chiral thioureas and squaramides are among the most prominent hydrogen-bond bifunctional organocatalysts now extensively used for various transformations, including aldol, Michael, Mannich and Diels-Alder reactions. More importantly, the experimental and computational study of the mode of activation has begun to attract considerable attention. Various experimental, spectroscopic and calculation...

The interaction of DPPA which is an important component in cellular membrane with molecules of water asmedia, cause some changes in geometry of DPPA .In this study we focused our attention on comparing thismolecule with related hydrated complexes employing different basis sets at hartree-fock levels of theory. Thetheoretical NMR shielding tensor of some imported atoms were also reported.

We have studied the adsorption processes of H2 on the V (100) surface of Vanadium using self consistent field theory.Dissociative adsorptions of H2 are significantly favored compared to molecular adsorptions. There is a significant charge transfer from the first layer of the vanadium surface to the Hydrogen atoms. Three possible adsorption sites, top, bridge and center site, were considered in ...
full textHydrogen bonding, solvation, and hydrolysis of cisplatin: A theoretical study
Density functional calculations on a range of hydrogen bonded clusters of cisplatin are reported. A systematic search of 1:1 cisplatin:water complexes reveals only three stable minima, which contain a number of common, recurring interactions, such as an N-H...O-H...Cl bridging mode. Expanding these clusters by adding water molecules leads to a model of the first solvation shell of cisplatin, wh...
