The Scott process of a relational structure M is the sequence of sets of formulas given by the Scott analysis of M . We present axioms for the class of Scott processes of structures in a relational vocabulary τ , and use them to give a proof of an unpublished theorem of Leo Harrington from the 1970’s, showing that a counterexample to Vaught’s Conjecture has models of cofinally many Scott ranks ...

in the analysis of spatial point patterns, complete spatial randomness (csr) hypothesis, which is a restriction of a homogenous poisson process to study region a, operates as a dividinghypothesis between “regular” and “aggregated” patterns. meanwhile, many alternatives to csr inaggregated patterns are extensions of homogenous poisson processes themselves. therefore, when thecsr hypothesis is rej...

Series representations are obtained for the entire class of measurable, second order stochastic processes defined on any interval of the real line. They include as particular cases all earlier representations; they suggest a notion of "smoothness" that generalizes well known continuity notions; and they decompose the stochastic process into two orthogonal parts, the smooth part and a strongly d...

A stochastic process of long-term evolution due to mutation and selection is defined over an asexually reproducing population, with selection according to a population game with a one-dimensional continuity of pure strategies. Limiting the analysis to mutations of small effect, it is shown that long-term dynamic stability in such a process is equivalent to continuous stability in the relevant p...

This article is concerned with inference for a certain class of inhomogeneous Neyman-Scott point processes depending on spatial covariates. Regression parameter estimates obtained from a simple estimating function are shown to be asymptotically normal when the "mother" intensity for the Neyman-Scott process tends to infinity. Clustering parameter estimates are obtained using minimum contrast es...

The concepts of $L$-convex systems and Scott-hull spaces are proposed on frame-valued setting. Also, we establish the categorical isomorphism between  $L$-convex systems and Scott-hull spaces. Moreover, it is proved that the category of $L$-convex structures is  bireflective in the category of $L$-convex systems. Furthermore, the quotient systems of $L$-convex systems are studied.
