the complete convergence is investigated for moving-average processes of doubly infinite sequence of negative dependence sub-gaussian random variables with zero means, finite variances and absolutely summable coefficients. as a corollary, the rate of complete convergence is obtained under some suitable conditions on the coefficients.

The strong Rayleigh property is a new and robust negative dependence property that implies negative association; in fact it implies conditional negative association closed under external fields (CNA+). Suppose thatX1, . . . , XN and Y1, . . . , YN are two families of 0-1 random variables that satisfy the strong Rayleigh property and let Zi := Xi + Yi. We show that {Zi} conditioned on ∑ iXiYi = ...

Abstract Negative dependence of sequences random variables is often an interesting characteristic their distribution, as well a useful tool for studying various asymptotic results, including central limit theorems, Poisson approximations, the rate increase maximum, and more. In study probability models tournaments, negative participants’ outcomes arises naturally, with application to results. p...

We explore negative dependence and stochastic orderings, showing that if an integer-valued random variable W satisfies a certain negative dependence assumption, then W is smaller (in the convex sense) than a Poisson variable of equal mean. Such W include those which may be written as a sum of totally negatively dependent indicators. This is generalised to other stochastic orderings. Application...

Formal reasoning about hashing-based probabilistic data structures often requires random variables where when one variable gets larger (such as the number of elements hashed into bucket), others tend to be smaller (like other buckets). This is an example negative dependence , a generalization independence that has recently found interesting applications in algorithm design and machine learning....
