Abstract Background Despite improvement in safety of plasma transfusion some virus transmission still remains a problem. So as World Health Organization (WHO) recommends, many countries developed Pathogen Reduction Technologies (PRT) to inactivate pathogens, in plasma components. The Methylene Blue (MB) based methods is one of the most universal one. The purpose of this research was, produce...

Software systems often produce logs which contain information about the execution of the systems. When an error occurs, the log file with the error is reported for subsequent analysis. The longer the log file, the harder to identify the cause of the observed error. This problem can be considerably simplified, if we reduce the log length, e.g., by removing events which do not contribute towards ...

Large software systems comprise of different and tightly interconnected components. Such systems utilize heterogeneous monitoring infrastructures which produce log data at high rates from various sources and in diverse formats. The sheer volume of this data makes almost impossible the realor near real-time processing of these system logs. In this paper, we present a log schema independent appro...

This paper proposes a block Arnoldi method for parameterized model order reduction. This method works when design parameters have only low-rank impacts on the system matrix. The method preserves all design parameters in the reduced model and is easy to implement. Numerical results show that the block Arnoldi process outperforms some existing methods up to a factor of ten.

In this paper it is shown that deciding the winner of a parity game is in LogCFL, if the underlying graph has bounded tree-width, and in LogDCFL, if the tree-width is at most 2. It is also proven that parity games of bounded clique-width can be solved in LogCFL via a log-space reduction to the bounded tree-width case, assuming that a k-expression for the parity game is part of the input.

background and objectives: pathogen reduction technologies are among methods to eliminate transfusion transmitted infections. mirasol method using riboflavin in combination with ultraviolet rays is one of them. the aims of this study were to investigate the effectiveness of mirasol method to inactivate some model pathogens as well as examination of the sensitivity of plasma proteins after treat...

In recent years wavelet shrinkage denoising has become the method of choice for the denoising of images. However, despite much research a number of questions remain. Which of the many wavelets that exist should one use? How should the threshold be set? and How are features in the image affected by the thresholding operation? This paper explores these issues and argues for the use of non-orthogo...

We show that the problems of deciding whether an arbitrary graph has a k-regular subgraph, for some given k 3; of deciding whether a planar graph has a quartic subgraph; and of deciding whether a planar graph has a quintic subgraph, are complete for NP via logspace reductions. There are no regular planar graphs of degree greater than 5.

This paper presents two main results. The first result indicates that in materials with broadly distributed microscopic heterogeneities, the fracture strength distribution corresponding to the peak load of the material response does not follow the commonly used Weibull and (modified) Gumbel distributions. Instead, a lognormal distribution describes more adequately the fracture strengths corresp...
