in this article, we have calculated some thermodynamic properties for a system consisting of singy ionized 3he atoms and their corresponding removed electrons by employing the second quantization method at finite temperature. to perform the calculations, we have considered the kinetic term, and coulomb interaction between the particles in our hamiltonian. the calculated properties are free ener...

Using long slit emission-line spectra we detect a fast outflow of ionized gas, with velocities up to 1000 km s −1 , in the nearby powerful radio galaxy 3C 293 (z = 0.045). The fast outflow is located about 1 kpc east of the nucleus, in a region of enhanced radio emission due to the presence of a distorted radio jet. We present results that indicate that this fast outflow is caused by a jet-ISM ...

The Fabry–Perot scanning interferometer mounted on the 6-m telescope of the Special Astrophysical Observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences is used to study the distribution and kinematics of ionized gas in the peculiar galaxy Arp 212 (NGC7625, III Zw102). Two kinematically distinct subsystems—the inner disk and outer emission filaments—are found within the optical radius of the galaxy. Th...

We have obtained high-resolution H i observations of N44, one of the largest H ii complexes in the Large Magellanic Cloud. The distribution and internal motions of the H i gas show dynamic effects of fast stellar winds and supernova blasts. Numerous H i holes are detected, with the most prominent two corresponding to the optically identified superbubbles Shell 1 and Shell 2. The H i gas associa...

H2 formation in metal-free gas occurs via the intermediate H − or H+2 ions. Destruction of these ions by photodissociation therefore serves to suppress H2 formation. In this paper, I highlight the fact that several processes that occur in ionized primordial gas produce photons energetic enough to photodissociate H− or H+2 and outline how to compute the photodissociation rates produced by a part...

We detect a fast outflow of neutral and ionized gas with velocities up to ∼1000 km/s from the central region of radio galaxy 3C 293. With optical spectroscopy we locate the bulk of the ionized gas outflow at the position of a bright radio hot-spot in the inner radio jet, about 1 kpc east of the nucleus. Given the presence of large amounts of cold gas and the distorted morphology of the radio je...

We present infrared and millimeter observations of molecular gas, dust and ionized gas towards a sample of clouds distributed along the 500 central pc of the Galaxy. The clouds were selected to investigate the physical state, in particular the high gas temperatures, of the Galactic center region (GCr) clouds located far from far-infrared of thermal radio continuum sources. We have found that th...

This paper presents the study of the interstellar medium toward β CMa, a disk sight-line known for its low neutral gas density. This study uses high and medium resolution HST-GHRS spectra including lines from the following species : H i, D i, N i, O i, S ii, S iii, Si ii, Si iii, Si iv, Al ii, Al iii, Fe ii, Mg i, Mg ii, Mn ii, C ii and C iv. The line of sight to β CMa (153 pc) is dominated by ...
