a numerical method for solving variational problems is presented in this paper. the method is based upon hybrid of hartley functions approximations. the properties of hybrid functions which are the combinations of block-pulse functions and hartley functions are first presented. the operational matrix of integration is then utilized to reduce the variational problems to the solution of algebraic...
The Hartley transform, a real-valued alternative to the complex Fourier transform, is presented as an efficient tool for the analysis and simulation of earthquake accelerograms. This paper is introduced a novel method based on discrete Hartley transform (DHT) and radial basis function (RBF) neural network for generation of artificial earthquake accelerograms from specific target spectrums. Acce...
In previous papers, the Fourier transform (FT) has been generalized into the fractional Fourier transform (FRFT), the linear canonical transform (LCT), and the simplified fractional Fourier transform (SFRFT). Because the cosine, sine, and Hartley transforms are very similar to the FT, it is reasonable to think they can also be generalized by the similar way. In this paper, we will introduce sev...
Image Encryption through Transform Domain Coefficients Scrambling using Hybrid Sinusoidal Transforms
Abstract: Security is one of the most important aspects. In image processing image encryption is one of the ways we can achieve security. In this paper an image encryption method is proposed using Hybrid Sinusoidal Transforms using Hartley as Base and other as Local transforms. Experimental results prove that the hybrid version of Hartley DCT, Hartley DST and Hartley Real Fourier for 128X2 and ...
In this paper, the k-trigonometric functions over the Galois Field GF(q) are introduced and their main properties derived. This leads to the definition of the cask(.) function over GF(q), which in turn leads to a finite field Hartley Transform . The main properties of this new discrete transform are presented and areas for possible applications are mentioned.
Following a familiar route and finding a novel route in a familiar environment depend on different cognitive processes and representations. A recent study by Hartley et al. begins to identity the neural basis of route following and wayfinding in humans. Their study also raises important questions about the functions of the hippocampus.
A set of fast real transforms including the well known Hartley transform is fully investigated. Mixed radix splitting properties of Hartley-type transforms are examined in detail. The matrix algebras diagonalized by the Hartley-type matrices are expressed in terms of circulant and (−1)-circulant matrices. © 2002 Elsevier Science Inc. All rights reserved.
