background: cervical cancer is one of the most common types of women’s reproductive cancers. a major risk factor for cervical cancer is exposure to a group of common sexually transmitted viruses called human papillomavirus  (hpv). the over expression of hpv 16 i.e., e6 antigen in the tumors of suspected cervical cancer tissues. however e-6 antigen has hyaluronan binding protein site. methods: t...

background: the development and progression of human tumors is accompanied by various cellular biochemical and genetic alterations. these events include tumor cells interaction with extracellular matrix molecules including hyaluronan and hyaluronan binding protein (ha-habp). hyaluronan is a large polysaccharide associated with pericellular matrix of proliferating, migrating cells, regulation of...

A hybridoma producing monoclonal antibody (H11) directed to lactoneotetraosylceramide (paragloboside) has been established from spleen cells of a mouse immunized with paragloboside. The monoclonal antibody H11 (immunoglobulin M type) was selected from five clones showing different reactivities with paragloboside. The monoclonal antibody was highly specific to paragloboside and lacked reactivity...

Aminopeptidase H11 present in the surface of intestine microvilli in Haemonchus contortus was identified as the most effective antigen candidate. However, its recombinant forms produced in Escherichiacoli, insect cells and yeast could not provide promising protection against H. contortus challenge, probably due to the inappropriate glycosylation and/or conformational folding. Herein, partial H1...

We have shown previously that H11, a serine/threonine kinase, is up-regulated in a heart subjected to ischaemia/reperfusion. In the present study, we have characterized the cellular function of H11, using neonatal rat cardiac myocytes. Although transduction of adenovirus harbouring H11 at low doses increased the cell size, at higher doses it induced apoptosis in cardiac myocytes. Apoptosis was ...

Let H ∈ Cn×n be an n × n unitary upper Hessenberg matrix whose subdiagonal elements are all positive. Partition H as H = H11 H12 H21 H22 , (0.1) where H11 is its k×k leading principal submatrix; H22 is the complementary matrix of H11. In this paper, H is constructed uniquely when its eigenvalues and the eigenvalues of b H11 and b H22 are known. Here b H11 and b H22 are rank-one modifications of...

BACKGROUND Cell based vaccines encoding Hyper-IL-6 (H6) and Hyper-IL-11 (H11) present high activity in murine melanoma and renal cancer model. We evaluated the efficacy of cellular vaccines modified with H6 or H11 combined with cyclophosphamide in orthotopic murine prostate cancer model. MATERIAL AND METHODS TRAMP cells were transduced with H6 and H11 cDNA (TRAMP-H6 and TRAMP-H11). An orthoto...

With the problem of parasitic nematode drug resistance increasing, vaccine development offers an alternative sustainable control approach. For some parasitic nematodes, native extracts enriched for specific proteins are highly protective. However, recombinant forms of these proteins have failed to replicate this protection. This is thought to be due to differences in glycosylation and/or confor...

Small heat shock proteins (sHsp) also known as HspB are a large family of widely expressed proteins that contain a 90 residues domain known as α-crystallin. Here, we focus on the family member H11/HspB8 and its herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) homologue ICP10PK, and discuss the possible impact of this relationship on human disease. H11/HspB8 and ICP10PK are atypical protein kinases. They sha...

Escherichia coli O26:H11 strains were able to outgrow O157:H7 companion strains in planktonic and biofilm phases and also to effectively compete with precolonized O157:H7 cells to establish themselves in mixed biofilms. E. coli O157:H7 strains were unable to displace preformed O26:H11 biofilms. Therefore, E. coli O26:H11 remains a potential risk in food safety.
