Aryl-substituted tetraimine complexes related to Co(dmgBF(2))(2)(MeCN)(2) (dmg = dimethylglyoxime) were synthesized and are active for hydrogen evolution. Co(dmgBF(2))(2)(MeCN)(2) can be adsorbed to a glassy carbon electrode.
