some new macrocyclic dibenzotetraoxadiamides, tribenzotetraoxadimides, tribenzopentaoxadiamide, tribenzohexaoxadiamide, and tetrabenzoheptaoxadiamide 15-22 have been prepared. these compounds were obtained in the macrocyclization step by reacting the diamines 6 and 7 with appropriate dicarboxylic acid dichlorides 8-14. the cyclization does not require high dilution techniques or template effect...

Nine copolyesters were prepared from a dicarboxylic acid, curcumin analogues (monocarbonyl) and phenophthalene dye in the mole ratio of 2:1:1 by direct polycondensation using triethylamine (Et3N) as condensation agent. The used is 2,6-Pyridine dicarbonyl dichloride acid. acid catalyzed Aldol reaction. These characterized FT-IR. fluorescence synthesized was also investigated. Furthermore, Thermo...

The reactions of N1,N2-Di-boc-1,2,4-triaminobutane with bridged dicarboxylic acids afford the corresponding bis-amides from which – after removal of the Boc groups – bis(N,N′-bidendate) ligands H2NCH2CH(NH2)(CH2)2NHCO-X-CONH(CH2)2CH(NH2)CH2NH2 can be obtained. New examples are the reactions of the triaminobutane with pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid, with phenylene-1,4-diacetic acid, with terepht...

The title complex, [Sn(CH(3))(2)(C(8)H(10)O(4))](n), was synthesized from cis-cyclo-hexane-1,2-dicarboxylic acid and dimethyl-tin dichloride. The complex has a bridging bis-bidentate carboxyl-ate group resulting in a zig-zag chain structure parallel to [001]. The Sn atom is six-coordinated and displays a distorted octa-hedral geometry.

microwave irradiation is used in the synthesis of four tricyclic chromanones 11-14. the chromanone 14 and 12 are selectively formed thermally and under microwave in the presence of polyphosphoric acid (ppa) from the same dicarboxylic acid 9, respectively. the crystal structures of the two diacids are also reported. the corresponding ortho and meta isomers of diacids crystallize in the space gro...

Dicarboxylic acids are prominent features of several diseases, including Reye's syndrome and inborn errors of mitochondrial and peroxisomal fatty acid oxidation. Moreover, dicarboxylic acids are potentially toxic to cellular processes. Previous studies [Tonsgard, Mendelson & Meredith (1988) J. Clin. Invest. 82, 1567-1573] demonstrated that long-chain dicarboxylic acids have a single high-affini...

The synthesis and NOE-based structural characterization is described of thiacalix[4]arene tricarboxylic acid (7), thiacalix[4]crown-5 and -6 monocarboxylic acids (2 and 5), and the bis(N-methylsulfonyl)thiacalix[4]crowns-5 and -6 (4a,b). The 226Ra2+ selectivity coefficients, log(K(Ra)ex/K(M)ex), of the new thiacalix[4]arene derivatives are compared directly with those of thiacalix[4]crown-5 and...

Efforts have been devoted to synthesize and characterize processable polymers with desired properties. Herein, four different series of aromatic aliphatic terpolyamides were prepared via solution phase polycondensation 4,4′-oxydianiline hexamethylenediamine (HMDA) various diacids chlorides (isophthalyol dichloride, terepthalyol 1, 1′-ferrocene dicarboxylic acid chloride trans-azobenzene-4, 4′-d...

Oral administration of ozonized sunflower oil to Wistar rats has produced changes in the urinary content of dicarboxylic acids. Heptanedioic acid (Pimelic acid) and nonanedioic acid (Azelaic acid) were the major increased dicarboxylic acids founded. The aim of this work is the study of the urinary dicarboxylic acid profiles of Wistar rats, orally treated with ozonized standard triglycerides. Th...

Dicarboxylic acids are prominent features of several diseases, including Reye's syndrome. Long-chain dicarboxylic acids have profound effects on the function and structure of isolated mitochondria, suggesting that they could contribute to the mitochondrial dysfunction in Reye's syndrome. Binding of fatty acids to albumin and the intracellular fatty acid-binding proteins is important in regulati...
