In this paper, we have investigated the kaon-deuteron interaction at an incident momentum of 1 GeV/c using the relativistic and non-relativistic Faddeev method for different phenomenological and chiral potentials. By calculating the π∑  invariant mass spectra on different particle channels, we have shown that the trace of Λ(1405) resonance is visible in such spectra. In the present work, the st...

Scintillation detectors are widely used in the experimental setup for the detection of charged particles. These detectors are able to measure the energy and time-of-flight of the charged particles. Also, they can be used to identify the detected particle. The probability of hadronic interaction between the detected particle and the nuclei of the scintillator atoms is one important issue that m...

The complex Kohn variational principle and the (correlated) hyperspherical harmonics method are applied to study the proton–deuteron elastic scattering at energies above the deuteron breakup threshold. Results for the elastic cross section and various elastic polarization observables have been obtained by taking into account the long–range effect of the Coulomb interaction and using a realistic...

The complex Kohn variational principle and the (correlated) hyperspherical harmonics method are applied to study the proton–deuteron elastic scattering at energies above the deuteron breakup threshold. Results for the elastic cross section and various elastic polarization observables have been obtained by fully taking into account the long–range effect of the Coulomb interaction and using a rea...

We discuss a recent computation of Compton scattering on the deuteron at photon energies of order the pion mass. An interaction kernel is computed in baryon chiral perturbation theory and sewn to phenomenological deuteron wave functions. As an appetizer, we consider a computation of the pion-deuteron scattering length using this method.

Recent developments of the covariant Bethe–Salpeter (BS) approach with the use of the separable interaction for the deuteron are reviewed. It is shown that the BS formalism allows a covariant description of various electromagnetic reactions like the lepton-deuteron scattering, deuteron electro-disintegration, deep inelastic scattering (DIS) of leptons on light nuclei. The procedure of the const...

Employing the polarization degrees of freedom in the deuteron allows to isolate smaller than average inter-nucleon distances in the deuteron. As a result one can identify set of high Q2 reactions off polarized deuteron which are particularly sensitive to the short range dynamics of strong interaction. We concentrate on the studies of several aspects of the short range phenomena. These are the r...

The deuteron form factors are calculated in the framework of the relativistic nucleon-meson dynamics. The relativistic effects change considerably the Sand D-waves of the deuteron, result in the dominating extra component in the deuteron wave function and generate the contact interaction between the nucleon, mesons and photon. The prediction for the polarization observable t20 is in good agreem...

Theoretical models of low-energy (d, p) single-neutron transfer reactions are a crucial link between experimentation, nuclear structure, and nuclear astrophysical studies. Whereas reaction models that use local optical potentials are insensitive to short-range physics in the deuteron, we show that including the inherent nonlocality of the nucleon-target interactions and realistic deuteron wave ...
