Dermoid cyst (also called as ‘mature teratoma’) is a type of germ cell tumour. The word ‘teratoma’ derived from Greek work ‘teraton’ meaning monster. It was initially used by Virchow in 1863. term ‘dermoid cyst’ coined Leblanc 1831. majority dermoid cysts are unilateral with equal frequency both ovaries; moreover, bilateral tumours found approximately 10-12% cases and we presented two such ovary.
