The TiCp/Cu master alloy was prepared via thermal explosion reaction. Afterwards, the nano-sized TiCp/Cu master alloy was dispersed by electromagnetic stirring casting into the melting Cu-Cr-Zr alloys to fabricate the nano-sized TiCp-reinforced Cu-Cr-Zr composites. Results show that nano-sized TiCp can effectively refine the grain size of Cu-Cr-Zr alloys. The morphologies of grain in Cu-Cr-Zr c...

The 3D morphological evolution of titanium foams as they undergo a two-step fabrication process is quantitatively characterized through x-ray microand nano-tomography. In the first process step, a Cu–Ti–Cr–Zr prealloy is immersed in liquid Mg, where Cu is alloyed with Mg while a skeleton of crystalline Ti–Cr–Zr is created. In the second step, the Mg–Cu phase is etched in acid, leaving a Ti–Cr–Z...

The influence of colour type, sex and age (ontogenetic stage of fur cycle) on the concentration of As, Br, Ca, Cl, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, K, Mn, P, Pb, Rb, S, Se, Sr, Ti, V, Zn, and Zr in nutria fur was studied in two body areas – the back (dorsal) and the belly (ventral). The concentration of elements was determined by the method of disperse roentgen fluorescent spectrometry. The results were evaluat...

Cu3(BTC)2 is an efficient and reusable heterogeneous catalyst for the dehydrogenative coupling of silanes with alcohols. Activity data and CO adsorption suggest that Cu(II) and in situ generated Cu(I) are the active species. Other MOFs such as Fe(BTC), MIL-101(Cr) and UiO-66(Zr) are unable to promote this cross-coupling.

Twenty-six chemical elements and oxidative status were determined in serum of 12 patients with first demyelinating episode and brain magnetic resonance imaging compatible with the disease at different time points. Quantifications of Al, Ba, Be, Bi, Ca, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Hg, Li, Mg, Mn, Mo, Ni, Pb, Sb, Si, Sn, Sr, V, Tl, W, Zn and Zr, as well as of serum oxidative status and antioxidant capaci...
