compound action potential (cap) of spinal cord represents valuable properties of neural fibers including excitability, rate of myelination and membrane integrity. these properties are measured using amplitude, latency and area under curve of caps recorded from spinal cord. here, the isolated spinal cord was set in a double sucrose gap (dsg) chamber and its response to intracellular stimulation ...

Background: The aim of this work was to study the output factors for Linac using different ionization chambers and build up caps. Materials and Methods: Output factors were measured for open square fields (3 × 3 cm to 40 × 40 cm) defined by collimator jaws for 6 and 15 MV photon beams from a Varian Clinac 2100C accelerator were measured. The measurements in air were performed using Com...

Neuropeptides released from dense-core vesicles (DCVs) modulate neuronal activity, but the molecules driving DCV secretion in mammalian neurons are largely unknown. We studied the role of calcium-activator protein for secretion (CAPS) proteins in neuronal DCV secretion at single vesicle resolution. Endogenous CAPS-1 co-localized with synaptic markers but was not enriched at every synapse. Delet...

Neurotransmitters and peptide hormones are secreted by regulated vesicle exocytosis. CAPS (also known as CADPS) is a 145-kDa cytosolic and peripheral membrane protein required for vesicle docking and priming steps that precede Ca2+-triggered vesicle exocytosis. CAPS binds phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PI(4,5)P2) and SNARE proteins and is proposed to promote SNARE protein complex assemb...

We introduce several recursive constructions for caps in projective spaces. These generalize the known constructions in an essential way and lead to new large caps in many cases. Among our results we mention the construction of {(q + 1)(q2 + 3)}−caps in PG(5, q), of {q4 + 2q2}-caps in PG(6, q) and of q2(q2 + 1)2-caps in PG(9, q).

The Clinician-Administered PTSD Scale (CAPS) is a structured interview for assessing posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) diagnostic status and symptom severity. In the 10 years since it was developed, the CAPS has become a standard criterion measure in the field of traumatic stress and has now been used in more than 200 studies. In this paper, we first trace the history of the CAPS and provide...
