Buccal mucosa graft is usually used in a second operation. A buccal mucosa graft from the lower lip was used for large fistula reconstruction in one patients. The patient previously had been operated on several times at another center. The use of the buccal mucosa graft for urethral reconstruction in complex urethroplasties is a successful method with a low incidence of complications.

Purpose. Although the use of buccal mucosa in substitution urethroplasty has been practiced for some years, it has not been free of controversy over which surgical technique is the most appropriate to use. The inlay and onlay buccal mucosa grafts are easier to perform, do not need urethral mobilization and generally have good long-term results (2-4). In the present video, we present a case where we used a double buccal mucosa graft technique in a simultaneous penile and bulbar ...

Urethroplasty may involve the use of tissue substitution including buccal mucosa graft (BMG), penile fasciocutaneous flaps, or skin grafts. Stricture recurrence and fistula formation are some uncommon complications that can result from surgery. The development of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) after BMG substitution urethroplasty is a new complication that we encountered that has not been descri...
