O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar os pressupostos metodológicos e teóricos do empirismo de Francis Bacon David Hume presentes na metafísica Arthur Schopenhauer. argumento central que o afastamento Schopenhauer da tradição idealista implica sua aproximação moderno.
