I briefly review the description of inclusive heavy hadron decays based on the inverse heavy quark mass expansion. In particular, I consider the transition B → Xulν and the problem of extracting Vub, mainly as far as the separation from the background represented by b → c modes is concerned. I also discuss how to obtain complementary information from the decay mode B → Xsγ.

Nepal has had a good economic growth since the mid 80s and throughout the 90s. This has led to increased inequality, but in general the poor have also benefited economically. The exception is some ethnic groups of the central and eastern hills, where labor migration has been more limited. Poverty was still high in 2003 in particular within the Tamang and Rai communities. Poverty has declined am...

New precision measurements of inclusive diffractive deep-inelastic ep scattering interactions, performed by the H1 and ZEUS collaborations at the HERA collider, are discussed. A new set of diffractive parton distributions, determined from recent high precision H1 data, is presented.

As collaborative guest editors, we Roxie Black Hamlin, Kathryn M. Loukas, are delighted to bring you this Jeanette Froehlich, Nancy MacRae landmark issue. Our profession is 93% to 95% female, compelling an examination of the effect of our demographics on occupational therapy. One method of examination is through a feminist perspective. Occupational therapy and feminism share many concepts: cari...

Distributed cryptographic protocols such as Bitcoin and Ethereum use a data structure known as the block chain to synchronize a global log of events between nodes in their network. Blocks, which are batches of updates to the log, reference the parent they are extending, and thus form the structure of a chain. Previous research has shown that the mechanics of the block chain and block propagatio...

The availability of branching fractions for a large majority of Ds decays permits the prediction of inclusive branching fractions. This is achieved with the help of a modest amount of input from an isospin statistical model applied to nonresonant multibody Ds decays. A systematic uncertainty in these mostly small branching ratios is estimated by comparing predictions of this model with those of...

Information retrieval (IR) techniques become a challenge to researchers due to huge growth of digital and information retrieval. As a wide variety of Hindi Data and Literature is now available on web, we have developed information retrieval system for Hindi documents. This paper presents a new searching technique that has promising results in terms of F-measure. Historically, there have been tw...
