Recent studies on virtual teams reveal that team virtuality may be considered from different levels which have a considerable impact on team processes and management. However, as a recent concept introduced to virtual team literature, virtuality and its effects on team effectiveness are still under studied. The purpose of this paper is twofold. On the one hand, it aims to define the concept of ...

Punching experiments on wide honeycomb sandwich beams were performed to evaluate the predictive capabilities of a newly developed constitutive model in structural applications. The employed constitutive model for plastically com-pressible orthotropic materials accounts for both non-uniform hardening and softening associated with stressing in different directions. This feature is vital when asse...

I consider the next-to-leading high-energy cluster expansion of large-k double jet production in QCD, and I determine the corresponding one-loop quark and gluon impact factors for a self-consistent energy scale. The result shows that coherent angular ordering of emitted gluons holds for hard emission also, and singles out a scale which in essentially the largest virtuality in the process. Both ...

A number of conceptions of the continuum are examined from the perspective of conceptual structuralism, a view of the nature of mathematics according to which mathematics emerges from humanly constructed, intersubjectively established, basic structural conceptions. This puts into question the idea from current set theory that the continuum is somehow a uniquely determined concept.

Abstract. The correlator of vector heavy-quark currents at small q is considered in the large-β0 limit. The leading IR renormalon ambiguity of the sum of the perturbative series is canceled by the UV renormalon ambiguity of the gluon condensate. Asymptotic behaviour of the perturbative series is obtained in a modelindependent way, up to a single unknown normalization factor. Gluon-virtuality di...

The current study explores the relationship of empowerment, leadership style and customer service as a measure of effective project management in projects with varying degree of virtuality. The study makes comparisons of empowerment climate in less and more virtual projects. Moreover, the study examines moderating effects of degree of virtuality on the relationship between empowerment and leade...

Searches for narrow baryonic states in the K S p, Kp, Ξ π and Ξ̄ π decay channels are reported. The data were collected with the ZEUS detector at HERA using an integrated luminosity of 121 pb. The searches were performed in the central rapidity region of inclusive deep inelastic scattering at an ep centre-ofmass energy of 300–318 GeV for exchanged photon virtuality, Q, above 1 GeV. The results s...

Recent results on diffraction at HERA, as measured by the H1 and ZEUS collaborations, are reviewed. Results on the photon-proton total hadronic cross section, on vector meson production both at small and large photon virtuality and on photon diffraction are presented. The experimental signature of diffraction at HERA, as well as the selection methods used by the two collaborations are explained.

We address the problem of sentiment and objectivity classification of product reviews in Chinese. Our approach is distinctive in that it treats both positive / negative sentiment and subjectivity / objectivity not as distinct classes but rather as a continuum; we argue that this is desirable from the perspective of would-be customers who read the reviews. We use novel unsupervised techniques, i...

The physiological properties of biological soft matter are the product of collective interactions, which span many time and length scales. Recent computational modeling efforts have helped illuminate experiments that characterize the ways in which proteins modulate membrane physics. Linking these models across time and length scales in a multiscale model explains how atomistic information propa...
