A modified 2D focusing inversion method for gravity data is presented in this paper. This iterative inversion method minimizes the area of the causative body and yields a compact density distribution. In order to find the required number of iterations for maximum compactness of the density distribution, the parameter variation function is proposed as a stopping criterion in the inversion proced...

Let M be a compact smooth Riemannian man-ifold without boundary and let D = ad 0 0 + bb 1 d 1 ? E on the space of smooth sections of the cotangent bundle where a and b are positive constants and where E is an endomorphism. We use functorial methods and the pseudo-diierential operator calculus to compute the quadratic term a 4 (D) in the asymptotic expansion of the heat equation trace. MOS class...

Following the pioneering work of Schapira, we consider topological Radon-type integral transforms on constructible Z-valued functions using the Euler characteristic as a measure. Contributions include: (1) application of the Schapira inversion formula to target localization and classification problems in sensor networks; (2) extension and application of the inversion formula to weighted Radon t...

We show that Derksen-Weyman-Zelevinsky’s mutations of quivers with potential yield equivalences of suitable 3-Calabi-Yau triangulated categories. Our approach is related to that of Iyama-Reiten and ‘Koszul dual’ to that of Kontsevich-Soibelman. It improves on previous work by Vitória. In the appendix, the first-named author studies pseudo-compact derived categories of certain pseudo-compact dg ...

Given an uncountable cardinal א, the product space I, I = [0, 1], is called a Tychonoff cube. A collection of closed subsets of a subspace Y of a Tychonoff cube I that covers Y determines a weak topology for Y . The collection of compact subsets of I that have a countable dense subset covers I. It is known from work of the author and I. Ivanšić that the weak topology generated by this collectio...

generally, the measured secondary field data is inverted into resistivity using two principal models; the homogeneous half-space model and the layered half-space model. while the homogeneous half-space inversion uses single frequency data, the inversion is done individually for each of the frequencies used, the multi-layer 1d inversion is able to take the data of all frequencies available into ...

At present paper, we establish the existence of pullback $mathcal{D}$-attractor for the process associated with non-autonomous partly dissipative reaction-diffusion equation in $L^2(mathbb{R}^n)times L^2(mathbb{R}^n)$. In order to do this, by energy equation method we show that the process, which possesses a pullback $mathcal{D}$-absorbing set, is pullback $widehat{D}_0$-asymptotically compact.

It is proved that the product of two pseudo radial compact spaces is pseudo radial provided that one of them is monolithic.

Completely regular pseudo-compact spaces have been characterized in several ways. E. Hewitt [6, pp. 68-70] has given one characterization in terms of the Stone-Cech compactification and another in terms of the zero sets of continuous functions. J. Colmez [2; no proofs included] and I. Glicksberg [4] have obtained characterizations by means of a convergence property for sequences of continuous f...

Let A" be a compact Hausdorff homogeneous space and G be the full group of homeomorphisms from X to X. We denote the isotropy group at x by Gx. If G is topologized by uniform convergence [l], then it is well known that G is a topological group, and the function 6: G/GX—*X, defined by 6{gGx)=g{x) is one-one and continuous. It is an open problem whether ô is a homeomorphism, i.e., whether X is a ...
