Injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) derivatives are the most used reabsorbable dermal fillers for soft tissue augmentation today and their utilization is considered safe. We report a cutaneous granulomatous reaction that developed in a woman 5 weeks after the first treatment with a nonanimal HA derivative for the correction of facial wrinkling. We describe the clinicopathological findings and cours...
A 70-year-old female patient presented with an eruption consisting of symmetrically distributed erythematous papules around the umbilicus 1 month after the cessation of adalimumab for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Biopsy of a papule showed an interstitial granulomatous infiltrate in the dermis, without deposition of mucin. The lesions cleared only after re-initiation of treatment 2 mon...
Case 1: A 43 year-old, white man presented with a four month-history of six plaques well-circumscribed. Laboratory results, including several serological tests, as well as a radiological investigation, were either negative or normal. The Mitsuda reaction was positive (9 mm). He was put on prednisone therapy and multi-drug therapy (MDT) with subsequent healing of the cutaneous lesions and improv...
A case of seminoma of the testis complicated by an extensive granulomatous reaction is reported. This reaction was so florid that a benign condition was initially considered until further material for histology was examined and the correct diagnosis made.
A 74 year old man had a right hemicolectomy for a caecal adenocarcinoma. Microscopic examination also revealed non-caseating epithelioid granulomatas within the adjacent stroma and some of these granulomata contained centrally located malignant cells. Granulomatous inflammation was not present within the lymph nodes and the importance of this rare occurrence is discussed.
Between 20% and 35% of patients with systemic sarcoidosis have skin lesions. One of the unusual cutaneous presentations of sarcoidosis is a granulomatous tattoo reaction that may present alone or with other features of sarcoidosis. We present a case of sarcoidosis whom presented with multiple nodules on tattood skin accompanied with facial pulsy, parotid enlargement and uveitis.
A case of bilateral intraosseous tumor of the calcaneus with different MRI imaging is presented. On the left, radiological findings suggest intraosseous lipoma, but on the right-sided lesion, imaging studies were not convincing. The microscopic report showed foreign body granulomatous reaction, a rare clinical pathological discordant.

This damage is in most cases the result of immunological reactions. OBJECTIVES To investigate the differences between a type 1 leprosy (reversal) reaction and relapse on using histopathology. METHODS The histopath...
