UNLABELLED Nanobodies are single-domain antigen-binding fragments derived from heavy-chain antibodies that are devoid of light chains and occur naturally in Camelidae. We have shown before that their small size and high affinity and specificity for their target antigen make Nanobodies ideal probes for in vivo tumor imaging. In the present study, we have evaluated the use of Nanobodies as a gene...
The cramoll 1,4 is a well-studied lectin. However, few studies about its biodistribution have been done before. In this study, we radiolabeled the cramol 1,4 with Tc-99m and analyzed the biodistribution. The results showed that the cramol has an abnormal uptake by the bowel with reflections on its clearance mechanism.
RATIONALE AND OBJECTIVES Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a promising strategy for treating cancer. PDT involves three components: a photosensitizer (PS) drug, a specific wavelength of drug-activating light, and oxygen. A challenge in PDT is the unknown biodistribution of the PS in the target tissue. In this preliminary study, we report the development of a new approach to image in three dimension...
Manganese is essential to life, and humans typically absorb sufficient quantities of this element from a normal healthy diet; however, chronic, elevated ingestion or inhalation of manganese can be neurotoxic, potentially leading to manganism. Although imaging of large amounts of accumulated Mn(II) is possible by MRI, quantitative measurement of the biodistribution of manganese, particularly at ...
Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a clinical syndrome characterized by rapid decline in renal function, and associated with high risk of death. Many pathological changes happen the process AKI, including crucial alterations to oxidative stress levels. Numerous efforts have thus been made develop effective medicines scavenge excess reactive oxygen species (ROS). However, researchers encountered sever...
introduction: [64cu]diacetyl-bis(n4-methylthiosemicarbazone) ([64cu]atsm) is a well-established hypoxia imaging tracer with reproducible production and significant specifity. in this work the high yield production and quality control as well as imaging studies in healthy rabbits is reported. methods: copper-64 produced via the 68zn(p,an)64cu nuclear reaction (30 mev protons at 180 µa) was used...
objective(s): this study describes the preparation, biodistribution of 153sm-dtpa-spion after intravenous injection in rats. materials and methods: the chelator dtpa dianhydride was conjugated to spion using a small modification of the well-known cyclic anhydride method. conjugation was done at a 1: 4 (spion: ccdtpa) molar ratio. conjugation reaction was purified with magnetic assorting column ...
BACKGROUND Photoimmunodetection, in which monoclonal antibodies [mAbs] are labeled with fluorescent dyes, might have clinical potential for early detection and characterization of cancer. For this purpose, the dye should be coupled in an inert way to mAb. In this study, different equivalents of IRDye800CW, a near-infrared fluorescent dye, were coupled to 89Zr-labeled cetuximab and bevacizumab, ...
