New Voltage Differencing Differential Input Buffered Amplifier (VD-DIBA) based lossless grounded and floating inductance simulation circuits have been proposed. The proposed grounded simulated inductance circuit employs a single VD-DIBA, one floating resistance and one grounded capacitor. The floating simulated inductance (FI) circuits employ two VD-DIBAs with two passive components (one floati...

This article reviews 2 circuits, which are electronically controllable active-only floating positive and negative inductance simulators. Each floating inductance simulator comprises merely one operational amplifier (OA) and one current conveyer transconductace amplifier (CCTA). The simulated inductance values can be controlled electronically by adjusting bias current of the CCTA. The circuit pe...

The goal of this work was to simulate the effect of the finite conductivity of semiconductor substrates on the on-chip coupling inductance and then to investigate the effect of the on-chip coupling inductance on circuit crosstalk. In addition, the limitations of standard approaches for estimating coupling inductance are examined. A method for the reduction of the coupling inductance and its eff...

We report on a method of nanoSQUID modulation which uses kinetic inductance rather than magnetic inductance to manip-ulate the internal fluxoid state. We produced modulation using injected current rather than an applied magnetic field. Using this injected current, we were able to observe the triangle-wave shaped modulation of the device critical current which was periodic according to the Londo...

With operating frequencies entering the multi-gigahertz range, inductance has become an important consideration in the design and analysis of on-chip interconnects. In this paper, we present an accurate and efficient inductance modeling and analysis methodology for high-performance interconnect. We determine the critical elements for a PEEC based model by analyzing the current flow in the power...

And have found that it is complete and satisfactory in all aspects, and that any and all revisions required by final examining committee have been made. Abstract As technologies shrink further, operating frequencies increase, and low-k dielectrics are introduced to diminish capacitive effects, on-chip inductance effects become more and more dominant in VLSI circuits. The accurate extraction, si...

| Modeling of on-chip inductance for chips with realistic power/ground wires and grids is presented. Analytical formulae as well as eld solvers are used to analyze inductance of on-chip structures including power/ground grids, ground plane and substrate e ects. Insights and design guidelines to reduce wire inductance are demonstrated. An accurate capacitance modeling approach is also presented.

We have characterized the complex inductance of dc SQUIDs cooled to millikelvin temperatures. The SQUID inductance displays a rich, history-dependent structure as a function of temperature, with fluctuations of order 1 fH. At a fixed temperature, the SQUID inductance fluctuates with a 1/f power spectrum; the inductance noise is highly correlated with the conventional 1/f flux noise. The data ar...

The phenomenon of magnetizing inrush is a transient condition, which occurs primarily when a transformer is energized. The magnitude of inrush current may be as high as ten times or more times of transformer rated current that causes malfunction of protection system. So, for safe running of a transformer, it is necessary to distinguish inrush current from fault currents. In this paper, an equiv...

A new CCII-based circuit for the simulation of mutually coupled circuits is presented. The circuit uses six commercially available plus-type secondgeneration current conveyors (CCIIþs), six resistors and two grounded capacitors. The primary self-inductance, the secondary self-inductance and the mutual inductance can be independently controlled using three different resistors. SPICE simulation r...
