In this paper we describe the progression of the Medialogy education, introduced in Denmark in 2002. We discuss different criteria which need to be considered when designing a transdisciplinary education, such as the use of problem based learning as a teaching methodology, the role of the faculty and the key competences needed to be acquired by the students.

This article sets out to present a fundamental orientation matrix for human sciences, which makes it possible to improve and structure the transdisciplinary discussion and learning process. In this paper we advocate the development of transdisciplinary educational programs with a strong focus on HCI, which use problem based learning (PBL) as a teaching methodology. We describe a novel education called Medialogy, developed at Aalborg University Copenhagen in Denmark, outlining through different case studies how PBL supports transdisciplinarity.
