Besl and Jain's variable order surface tting algorithm 1] is a useful method of constructing a noise-free reconstruction of 2 1 2 D range images with a small number of primitive regions. The use of bivariate polynomi-als as the approximation basis functions is linear, fast and easy to render robust. Seeding ts from regions classiied by diierential geometry is an important step towards a viewpoi...

In this paper a new Gm-C active filter with auto-tuning loop based on PLL architecture in CMOS technology is presented. The auto-tuning loop of the proposed structure is represented by a PLL having the voltage controlled oscillator implemented with a replica of Gm-C filter in positive feedback connection. The loop sets the biasing of VCO such that the oscillation frequency provided by the loop ...

Low Power Architecture and Circuit Techniques for High Boost Wideband Gm-C Filters. (May 2006) Manisha Gambhir, B.E. Delhi University Co-Chairs of Advisory Committee: Dr. Edgar Sanchez-Sinencio Dr. Jose Silva-Martinez With the current trend towards integration and higher data rates, read channel design needs to incorporate significant boost for a wider signal bandwidth. This dissertation explor...

The second order universal voltage-mode filter using voltage differencing differential difference amplifiers (VDDDAs) has been proposed. It has high input impedance voltage-mode biquad filter with orthogonal tune of natural frequency and quality factor. The proposed filter simultaneously provides five filter responses: low-pass (LP), high-pass (HP), band-reject (BR), all-pass (AP) and band-pass...

A nonparametric allpass filter design method is presented for matching a desired group delay as a function of frequency. The technique is useful in physical modeling synthesis of musical instruments and emulation of audio effects devices exhibiting dispersive wave propagation. While current group delay filter design methods suffer from numerical difficulties except at low filter orders, the tec...

* M. Verleysen is a research associate of the Belgian FNRS. * This work was financed by the Belgian FNRS. ABSTRACT: A straightforward technique for automatic adaptation of channels equalizers after digital data transmission is presented. Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI) at the received signal is identified by scanning the input stream over time at the data clock frequency. The resulting 2D-figur...

A new CMOS voltage controlled balanced output transconductor (BOTA) is introduced. Application of the CMOS BOTA in realizing mixed-mode filter implementation featuring electronic tunability is presented. The filter realizes second order lowpass, bandpass, highpass, allpass and notch responses. The proposed filter architecture uses grounded capacitors and allows modifying the quality factor with...

A new circuit for realization of universal current-mode filter using current Follower Transconductance Amplifiers (CFTAs) is presented. The proposed circuit realizes current-mode low pass, high pass and band pass filter functions simultaneously with a single current source at the input. The band reject and all pass filters can also be obtained from the proposed circuit without any extra hardwar...

This paper presents design concept of Operational Transconductance Amplifier (OTA). The 0.18μm CMOS process is used for design and simulation of this OTA. This OTA having a biasing current of 15.6 μA with supply voltage ±1.25 V. The design and simulation of this OTA is done using CADENCE Spectre environment with UMC 0.18 μm technology file. The simulation results of this OTA shows that the open...

A new MOS-C bandpass-low-pass filter using the current feedback operational amplifier (CFOA) is presented. The filter employs two CFOA’s, eight MOS transistors operating in the nonsaturation region, and two grounded capacitors. The proposed MOS-C filter has the advantage of independent control of Q and !o. PSpice simulation results for the proposed filter are given.
