gff2psis a program for visualizing annotations of genomic sequences. The program takes the annotated features on a genomic sequence in GFF format as input, and produces a visual output in PostScript. While it can be used in a very simple way, it also allows for a great degree of customization through a number of options and/or customization files.

In this paper, we propose a program slicing approach for the output stream object in JEE applications. Our approach is based on extracting a dependency call graph from KDM models of JEE applications. Then, it applies breath-first search algorithm to identify the program slice as a graph reachability problem. The proposed approach is implemented as an extension of our DeJEE tool.

In order to address the restrictions of existing program translation techniques an alternative method is proposed. The technique is demonstrated in a software tool which is used to translate between simple graphics languages. The tool uses the output errors from a schema validator to iteratively evolve from a source to a target program.

SUMMARY This paper describes the generation of file processing programmes within the TUBA environment. Program structures are derived from data structures according to the JSP method. Expressions describing output data are specified in user-system dialogues. The program specifications are stored in the dictionary. Complete executable programs can be generated from these specifications.

We designed a simple but sensitive program, IntraCompare, for identifying internal repeats in families of homologous proteins. The protein sequences are aligned (Clustal X), the regions to be compared are selected, and all potential repeat sequences are compared with all others. The output provides comparison scores (GAP program) expressed in standard deviations.

Bouclettes is a source to source loop nest parallelizer. It takes as input Fortran uniform, perfectly nested loops and gives as output a HPF (High Performance Fortran) program with data distribution and parallel ($HPF! INDEPENDENT) loops. This paper explains how the HPF program is built from some scheduling and allocation functions automatically generated by Bouclettes.

This study uses actor-oriented transfer perspective to investigate different ways in which students make connections across the domains of mathematics and computing. We interview first-year at University Oslo as they work with a set tutorials that we designed integrate knowledge from both domains.
