The article presents the results of feeding broiler chickens with different doses feed additive "M-feed". It was found out that use optimal dosage "M-feed" in chickens' diets contributed to an increase absolute gain by 7.7%, average daily 7.6%, and gutted carcass weight 12.9%, contrast control group.
An experiment was conducted to test the hypothesis that muscle damage in fast-growing broiler chickens is associated with an ambient temperature that does not permit the birds to lose metabolic heat resulting in physiological heat stress and a reduction in meat quality. The experiment was performed in 4 climate chambers and was repeated in 2 trials using a total of 200 male broiler chickens. Tw...
To investigate the efficacy of alternatives to antibiotics, the present study was conducted to compare the effects of antibiotic, lactic acid, a blend of commercial essential oils (EOs) and EOs in combination with lactic acid on growth performance and the functional activity of the gut in broiler chickens. A total of 168 broiler chickens were given the basal diet supplemented with 10 ppm colist...
ornithobacterium rhinotracheale (ort), a species of bacteria, is known to be associated with respiratorydisease, growth retardation, mortality and decreased egg production. the aim of the present study was todetermine seroprevalence of the infection and to identify the microorganism by bacteriological and molecularmethods. in this study, 460 serum samples and also 290 tracheal swabs were collec...
the present study evaluated effects of 0.0%, 0.5%, 0.75% and 1.0% l-threonine in diet on performance and gastrointestinal tract development in broiler chickens during summer. from 0 to 42 days old, body weight gain was greater in 0.75% l-threonine fed birds than in 0.0% and 0.5% l-threonine fed birds (p0.05). during the growth period, 0.75% l-threonine fed birds had the highest body weight gain...
objective: the protein quality of earthworm meal was evaluated and compared to that of soybean meal (sbm) in two experiments using broiler chicks. methods: the protein quality of earthworm meal was evaluated and compared to that of soybean meal (sbm) in two experiments using broiler chicks. results: the results of experiment 1 indicated that there were no significant differences between earthw...
Immunosuppression has historically cost the poultry industry in increased mortality and in performance factors during rearing. In addition, immunosuppression has had a negative impact on the ability of the poultry industry to process chickens due to associated health problems. Industry strategies for controlling immunosuppression are not consistent between broiler companies. The broiler industr...
ABSTRACT
This study was conducted to know the use of turmeric (TRM) and red ginger meal (RGM) as source phytobiotics green additive in ration broiler chickens dan effect on nutrient efficiency. One hundred eighty DOC male were randomly alloted into five dietary treatments an opened-system poultry house. The were: basal diet without additives supplementation (control; T1); control + 5g/kg ...
This study was conducted to assay the use of Saturejahortensis L. (savory) essential oil in the drinking water on broiler production and blood glucose, uric acid, creatinin and cholesterol. Four hundred and twenty day old broiler chickens (Ross 308) was used in a completely randomized design with 6 treatments and 5 replicate. Experimental treatments included: 1) control, 2) Tween (a solvent for...
To evaluate and compare the effects of Bacillus coagulans-fermented Ginkgo biloba (FG) and nonfermented Ginkgo biloba (NFG) on the immunity status of broiler chickens, 180 1-d-old female Arbor Acres chicks were divided into 3 groups and fed either a basal diet, a basal diet supplemented with 0.3% NFG, or a basal diet supplemented with 0.3% FG. Blood samples were taken on the seventh (before vac...
