Subtyping is an important concept and used in many programming languages. One approach to give semantics to languages with subtypes is by translation to target languages without subtyping: Subtypings A ≤ B are interpreted via conversion functions A → B. This paper shows how to extend the method to languages with computational effects, using Moggi’s computational metalanguage.

Generally, every language has a lexicon that is grouped into classified verbs. Each verb can be broken down some specific subtypes. Particularly in English, verbs are semantically divided several Verbs such as tell, ask, inform, offer, forgive, and others belonging to the types of speech or acts. This study aims analyze natural semantic metalanguage analysis English act inform. In collecting da...
Categorical models of the metalanguage FPC (a type theory with sums, products, exponentials and recursive types) are defined. Then, domain-theoretic models of FPC are axiomatised and a wide subclass of them —the non-trivial and absolute ones— are proved to be both computationally sound and adequate. Examples include: the category of cpos and partial continuous functions and functor categories o...
SALDO is a free full-scale modern Swedish semantic and morphological lexical resource intended primarily for use in language technology applications. In this paper we present our work on SALDO, compare it with some other lexicalsemantic resources – Wierzbicka’s Natural Semantic Metalanguage, Princeton WordNet, and Roget-style thesauruses – and discuss some implications of the differences.
This paper presents the application of automatic analysis (of statistical and symbolic nature) for the detection and processing of metalanguage in highly technical texts from various domains. The selective metalinguistic information extraction performed by the MOP system allows compilation of non-conventional lexicons to aid domain-restricted NLP.
This paper discusses concepts that serve the purpose of handling complexity of the life cycle of engineering systems in general and SDRs in particular: languages, metalanguages, models, metamodels, ontologies and architectures. The main objective of this paper is to shed some light on the Commercial Technology WG effort to develop a Metalanguage for Wireless Systems.
