چکیده مقاله:

Objective: one of the best tests for the assessment of a fetus is the biophysical profile test which has a significant effect on fetus health and the outcome of pregnancy. The present study was designed to determine the relationship between the full biophysical profile and the rapid biophysical profile tests in antepartum fetal surveillance. Patients and Methods: In this prospective study, Singleton pregnancies (n=209) with more than 34 weeks of gestational age were chosen. Both full biophysical profile (FBP) and rapid biophysical profile (RBP) tests were performed for all the patients. The main outcome is Apgar score and NICU admission were analyzed by the SPSS. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value of RBP were calculated. Results: Out of 209 people who entered the study, 48 women (23.0%) had gestational diabetes, 84 women (40.2%) had hypertension pregnancy (preeclampsia), 45 people (21.5%) had IUGR and 45 women (21.5%) had post-date pregnancy. For predicting adverse fetal outcomes of pregnancy, the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value of RBP were found as 95%, 73%, and 52%. 98%, respectively. Conclusions: According to the statistically significant positive correlation between RBP and FBP and its simple and rapid application, RBP might be an acceptable alternative method for primary antepartum fetal screening tests in overcrowded obstetrics centers.

The Relationship between Modified Biophysical Profile, Standard Biophysical Profile, and Neonatal Outcomes of High-risk Pregnancies

Introduction: High-risk pregnancies can result in many complications for the fetus. In these pregnancies, different tests such as non-stress test (NST), biophysical profile (BPP), oxytocin contraction stress test (OCT), and Doppler sonography can be used to evaluate fetal health. As standard BBP requires more time and expertise, in this study, we evaluated the relationship between standard BPP,...

Modified Biophysical Profile and Fetal Outcome in High Risk Pregnancy

The aims and objectives of this study was to evaluate foetal health in high risk pregnancy with modified B.P.P., to record the perinatal outcome, to evaluate efficacy of modified B.P.P. in predicting perinatal outcome in high risk pregnancy. In this study 110 admitted cases having one or more high risk factors were studied. Modified B.P.P., N.S.T. and C.T.G. was done. Only the last antenatal te...

ارتباط پروفیل بیوفیزیکی با PH خون بند ناف بعد از تولد نوزاد

Background: The Biophysical Profile (BPP) is a noninvasive test that predicts the presence or absence of fetal asphyxia and, ultimately, the risk of fetal death in the antenatal period. Intervention on the basis of an abnormal biophysical profile result has been reported to yield a significant reduction in prenatal mortality, and an association exists between biophysical profile scoring and a d...
