O-23: Transfer of Blastocysts Derived from Frozen Thawed Cleavage Stage Embryos Improved Ongoing Pregnancy
نویسندگان
چکیده مقاله:
Background: The aim of our study was to compare the resulting from transfer of embryos that cryopereserved in cleavage stage after thawing and transfer of embryos after thawing and culture in sequentional media until blastocyst formation. Materials and Methods: In this prospective clinical study, we have evaluated 128 cycles in women undergone in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) with embryo cryopreservation. Exclusion criteria were women with age >35 years; BMI >30; history of Diabetes Mellitus; thyroid disease; history of sever endometriosis. Frozen embryos were thawed and then cultured in sequential media until blastocyst stage in blastocyst group and were compared with thawed embryos in cleavage stage group. Results: Implantation rate was significantly higher in blastocyst group 30% compared to 17% in cleavage group. No statistically differences were reported in chemical and clinical pregnancy rates. Ongoing pregnancy rate was significantly higher in blastocyst group 42.9% compared to 24.6% in cleavage group (p=0.023). Conclusion: Our results indicated that blastocyst formation after thawing of cleavage stage embryos is a good predictor for embryo viability and pregnancy outcome.

Human pregnancy after transfer of intact frozen-thawed embryos.
Since the birth of the first baby as a result of in vitro fertilisation (IVF) in 1978, many clinics around the world have achieved pregnancies and births for their patients by using IVF and gamete intrafallopian transfer procedures. With the storage of excess embryos, multiple laparoscopies can be avoided; this has favoured the development of better cryopreservation techniques. In our clinic 8-...
متن کاملBetter perinatal outcomes following transfer of fresh blastocysts and blastocysts cultured from thawed cleavage embryos: a population-based study.
BACKGROUND Fresh embryo transfer results in higher live birth rates, while thawed embryo transfer appears to result in healthier babies. This study aims to investigate the association between the transfer of fresh or thawed embryos at the cleavage or blastocyst stage and the perinatal outcomes. METHODS This analysis is a retrospective population-based study of 150 376 autologous embryo transf...

Hormonal replacement treatment improves clinical pregnancy in frozen-thawed embryos transfer cycles: a retrospective cohort study.
This study aimed to assess frozen-thawed embryo transfer (FET) outcomes in natural, hormone replacement treatment (HRT) and semi-HRT cycles. This was a retrospective cohort study of 5414 cycles of patients in an academic hospital. Patients were grouped as 2216 natural cycles, 1180 semi-HRT cycles, and 2018 HRT cycles. Primary outcome measures were implantation rate, clinical pregnancy rate and ...
متن کاملLive births after polar body biopsy and frozen-thawed cleavage stage embryo transfer: case report
Pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) or screening (PGS) technology, has emerged and developed in the past few years, benefiting couples as it allows the selection and transfer of healthy embryos during IVF treatments. These techniques can be performed in oocytes (polar-body biopsy) or embryos (blastomere or trophectoderm biopsy). In this case report, we describe the first two live births to...
متن کاملTelomere lengths in human oocytes, cleavage stage embryos and blastocysts
Telomeres are repeated sequences that protect the ends of chromosomes and harbour DNA repair proteins. Telomeres shorten during each cell division in the absence of telomerase. When telomere length becomes critically short, cell senescence occurs. Telomere length therefore reflects both cellular ageing and capacity for division. We have measured telomere length in human germinal vesicle (GV) oo...
