چکیده مقاله:
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of aluminum on the tissue enzymes of gills, liver and muscles in common carp. In this study, the effects of sub lethal levels of aluminum on metabolic enzymes, Aspartate aminotransferase, Alanine aminotransferase and alkaline phosphatase (AST, ALT and ALP) in organs including gills, liver and muscles of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) were evaluated after 24, 48, 72 and 96 h exposure under laboratory conditions. Tissue extracts were prepared from each group. Enzymes were measured using commercial kits and auto-analyzer Selectra-PRO. According to statistical data analysis, it was found that the activity of this enzyme in tissues increased significantly compared to that in the control group. AST enzymes in the liver and muscle increased significantly but were reduced at 96 h. ALP levels in muscle tissue significantly increased at 72 h but were reduced at 96 h. The alterations in the activities of these enzymes indicated that the presence of aluminum interfered with transamination and metabolic process in tissues. As a biomarker in various organs, it can also be useful for toxicology

Common Carp, Cyprinus carpio
The common carp (Cyprinus carpio) belongs to the family Cyprinidae. In nature, carp live in the middle or lower reaches of a river with slow currents, or in marshes. Their habitats are usually weedy areas with a muddy bottom. Carp fry feed on zooplankton such as rotifers and copepods, but as they grow up they become benthic feeders, feeding on animals and other organic material. The cyprinids h...

Background: The application of nano-particles (NPs) in various industries is growing. Since their toxicity is not clearly understood, they can cause adverse effects on the environment. The aim of this study was to evaluate the histopathological effects of iron oxide nano-particles on the small intestine of common carp, Cyprinus carpio. Methods: Four experimental treatments were designed (15 ...
متن کاملToxic effects of diclofenac on gills, liver and kidney of Cyprinus carpio (Linnaeus, 1758)
Diclofenac, the anti-inflammatory drug, is found in natural water bodies all over the world. Toxicological researches of diclofenac report harmful effects on aquatic species even at low concentrations. The aim of present study was to determine whether diclofenac affected on the gills, liver and kidney of common carp (Cyprinus carpio). In order to evaluate toxic effects of diclofenac as NASIDs (...
متن کاملEffects of dietary exposure to aflatoxins on some plasma biochemical indices of common carp (Cyprinus carpio)
Aflatoxins are a group of secondary fungal metabolites that occur widely in natural contaminants of many feeds under high humidity and temperature, and are potentially dangerous to fish. Therefore, this study was designed to investigate the effects of aflatoxins on some plasma biochemical indices, as clinical biomarkers, in common carp, Cyprinus carpio. Fish were fed diets contaminated with 0 (...
