Dietary protein level and performance of growing Baladi kids

چکیده مقاله:
A study was conducted to evaluate the effect of feeding different levels of protein to black Baladi breed kids. Weanling Baladi kids (n=18; 75 to 90 days old) were selected and individually housed at our experimental farm. Kids were divided randomly to one of the three treatments for 12 weeks. The three dietary treatments were: T1: control ration, formulated according to NRC to cover the protein (level 1) and other nutrients requirements. T2: ration formulated to cover only 75% of protein (level 2) recommended by NRC. T3: control diet + 2.4 g undegradable methionine (Smartamine®)/day/kid (level 3). Feed intake, initial and monthly body weights were recorded. Blood samples were collected monthly and analyzed for metabolites and Co, Zn and Cu levels. Decreasing the dietary level of protein (T2) negatively affected (P

متن کاملEffects of Dietary Crude Protein Level and Stocking Density on Growth Performance, Nutrient Retention, Blood Profiles, and Carcass Weight of Growing-Meat Quails
Two experiments were conducted to evaluate the effect of stocking density on growing-meat quail performance (experiment I) and the effect of dietary crude protein (CP) levels and stocking density on growth performance, nutrient retention, blood metabolites, and carcass weight of growing-meat quails under high ambient temperature (experiment II). Three hundred and eighty male growing-meat quails...
متن کاملInfluence of dietary protein level, amino acid supplementation, and dietary energy levels on growing-finishing pig performance and carcass composition1
Two experiments were conducted to determine the effects of feeding reduced-CP, AA-supplemented diets at two ambient temperatures (Exp. 1) or three levels of dietary NE (Exp. 2) on pig performance and carcass composition. In Exp. 1, 240 mixed-sex pigs were used to test whether projected differences in heat increment associated with diet composition affect pig performance. There were 10 replicati...

متن کاملEffect of Dietary Organic Zinc and Prebiotic on Productive Performance and Immune Response of Growing Quails
The aim of the present study was to investigate the possibility of improvingproductive performance and immunity of growing Japanese quailreared during summer in Egypt by supplementing the diets with organic zinc (Bioplex zinc) and prebiotic (mannan oligosaccharides). Diets were a basal diet or the basal diet supplemented with 20 mg Bioplex zinc (3.0 mg Zn) (Zn1), 40 mg Bioplex zinc (6.0 mg Zn) ...
