چکیده مقاله:
In the article published in Volume 27, issue 158, 2017, the Results section in English Abstract have been published incorrectly. The correct Results is given below: Results: The most frequent sizes of mass were 2-4 cm (n=33, 54%) and 4-5 cm (n=23, 38%). Among the patients, 35 (67.3%) had one tumor before, in 11.5% renew tumor happened, and 65.4% had one tumor after treatment. Liver tumors were controlled in 76.9% in case group which was statistically higher than that in control group (P< 0.0001).

متن کاملRadiofrequency ablation of primary and metastatic liver tumors.
Worldwide, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common and deadly solid cancers. At least one million new patients are diagnosed annually with this cancer. Incidence in non-Western countries is related to infections of hepatitis B virus and dietary ingestion of aflatoxins, whereas in Western countries alcohol-related cirrhosis and chronic hepatitis C virus infection are leading cau...
متن کاملTherapeutic efficacy comparison of radiofrequency ablation in hepatocellular carcinoma and metastatic liver cancer
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) on malignant hepatic tumors and compare its therapeutic efficacy in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and metastatic liver cancer (MLC). A total of 56 patients with malignant hepatic tumors (34 patients with HCC and 22 patients with MLC) underwent RFA treatment. Two weeks following the RFA treatment, contrast-enhance...
متن کاملVirtual Radiofrequency Ablation of Liver Tumors
In the last few years, radiofrequency ablation has become one of the most promising techniques to treat liver tumors. But radiologists have to face the difficulty of planning their treatment while only relying on 2D slices. We present here a realistic radiofrequency ablation simulation tool, coupled with a 3D reconstruction and visualization project. They help radiologists to have a better visu...
متن کاملRadiofrequency Ablation of Miscellaneous Solid Tumors Excluding Liver Tumors - 121616
In radiofrequency ablation (RFA), a probe is inserted into the center of a tumor and the noninsulated electrodes, which are shaped like prongs, are projected into the tumor; a heat is then generated locally by a high-frequency, alternating current that flows from the electrodes. The local heat treats the tissue adjacent to the probe, resulting in a 3 cm to 5.5 cm sphere of dead tissue. The cell...
