Analysis of Photovoltaic Module Resistance Characteristics

چکیده مقاله:
Abstract: This paper proposes a new analysis method for photovoltaic (PV) modules. The main objectives are to obtain the resistance parameters of PV modules by adjusting I-V equation and voltage equation of diode and to find the relationship between resistance parameters and power. Firstly, values of serial resistance and parallel resistance at maximum power point are concluded. Secondly, the curves of serial resistance and parallel resistance are concluded when load increased from zero to infinity. Thirdly, the relationship between parallel resistance and power is obtained and the influence caused by ignorance of resistances is analyzed. Finally, simulation and experimental results of photovoltaic module show that the method is correct and feasible.

Analysis of Temperature Effect on a Crystalline Silicon Photovoltaic Module Performance
In this paper, the effect of the cell-temperature on the performance of photovoltaic (PV) module is evaluated. The evaluation is based on a mathematical module (single diode equivalent circuit) and practically based on solar module tester (SMT). Solara®130W PV crystalline silicon module was used in this simulation. The SMT is able to supply a constant irradiance level (1000W/m2) or any other de...
متن کاملAlternating Current Photovoltaic Module Model
This paper presents modeling of an Alternating Current (AC) Photovoltaic (PV) module using Matlab/Simulink. The proposed AC-PV module model is simple, realistic, and application oriented. The model is derived on module level as compared to cell level directly from the information provided by the manufacturer data sheet. DC-PV module, MPPT control, BC, VSI and LC filter, all were treated as a si...
متن کاملComparison of Photovoltaic Module Performance Measurements
Computer simulation tools used to predict the energy production of photovoltaic systems are needed in order to make informed economic decisions. These tools require input parameters that characterize module performance under various operational and environmental conditions. Depending upon the complexity of the simulation model, the required input parameters can vary from the limited information...
متن کاملNanostructured down-converter module for photovoltaic application
In silicon-based solar cells, a substantial part of the energy losses is related to the charge carriers thermalization in the UV-blue range and the week carriers collection at these wavelenghts. To avoid this issue, we introduce a new concept which combines a rare-earths doped thin layer with a photonic crystal (PC) layer, allowing an efficient conversion from UV-blue photons to near-IR photons...
متن کاملThe Design of a High Concentrator Photovoltaic Module (HCPV)
High concentration photovoltaics (HCPV) promise a more efficient, higher power output than traditional photovoltaic modules. This is achieved by concentrating sunlight onto a small 1 cm concentrator triple junction (CTJ) InGaP/InGaAs/Ge cell by using precision optics. In order to achieve high performance, careful design decisions must be made in the development of a HCPV module. This paper inve...
متن کاملCalibration of Photovoltaic Module Performance Models Using Monitored System Data
Calibration of a photovoltaic module performance model currently relies on measurements of electrical output taken with the module outdoors on a two-axis tracker, or indoors using a solar simulator. These measurements require expensive infrastructure. By contrast, measuring electrical performance for systems outdoors on fixed racking is substantially cheaper, yet no method currently exists to t...
