25-hydroxy Vitamin D Serum levels in Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) Children Compared to Controls

Background 25-hydroxy vitamin D [25(OH) VitD] deficiency is a highly prevalent condition, present in approximately 30% to 50% of the general population. A growing body of data suggests that low 25(OH) VitD levels may adversely affect cardiovascular health. The present study aimed to measure the serum levels of 25(OH) Vit D in Congenital heart disease (CHD) children compared to healthy children.
