Using a Novel Concept of Potential Pixel Energy for Object Tracking

Authors

Abstract:

Abstract   In this paper, we propose a new method for kernel based object tracking which tracks the complete non rigid object. Definition the union image blob and mapping it to a new representation which we named as potential pixels matrix are the main part of tracking algorithm. The union image blob is constructed by expanding the previous object region based on the histogram feature. The potential pixels matrix of previous object and union blob are used for locating the target frame to frame. The formula for location of kernel in current frame is in the form of algebra and it does not need iterative process as mean shift tracker. For removing the background information and also the non rigid object changes, we propose to divide the expanding part of union blob to two parts and using distance threshold and similarity criterion for each part. We demonstrate the background removing of proposed method has better performance than the weighting kernel of mean shift tracking. Also the segmentation of object which produces narrow histogram is used for reduces the influence of background.  We demonstrated the capability of the proposed method for several image sequences

wuthering heights and the concept of marality/a sociological study of the novel

to discuss my point, i have collected quite a number of articles, anthologies, and books about "wuthering heights" applying various ideas and theories to this fantastic story. hence, i have come to believe that gadamer and jauss are rightful when they claim that "the individaul human mind is the center and origin of all meaning," 3 that reading literature is a reader-oriented activity, that it ...

Pixel-wise object tracking

In this paper, we propose a novel pixel-wise visual object tracking framework that can track any anonymous object in a noisy background. The framework consists of two submodels, a global attention model and a local segmentation model. The global model generates a region of interests (ROI) that the object may lie in the new frame based on the past object segmentation maps; while the local model ...

Convolutional Gating Network for Object Tracking

Object tracking through multiple cameras is a popular research topic in security and surveillance systems especially when human objects are the target. However, occlusion is one of the challenging problems for the tracking process. This paper proposes a multiple-camera-based cooperative tracking method to overcome the occlusion problem.  The paper presents a new model for combining convolutiona...

Background subtraction using a pixel-wise adaptive learning rate for object tracking initialization

In this paper we present a new method for object tracking initialization using background subtraction. We propose an effective scheme for updating a background model adaptively in dynamic scenes. Unlike the traditional methods that use the same “learning rate” for the entire frame or sequence, our method assigns a learning rate for each pixel according to two parameters. The first parameter dep...

A novel Local feature descriptor using the Mercator projection for 3D object recognition

Point cloud processing is a rapidly growing research area of computer vision. Introducing of cheap range sensors has made a great interest in the point cloud processing and 3D object recognition. 3D object recognition methods can be divided into two categories: global and local feature-based methods. Global features describe the entire model shape whereas local features encode the neighborhood ...

A Novel Method for Tracking Moving Objects using Block-Based Similarity

Extracting and tracking active objects are two major issues in surveillance and monitoring applications such as nuclear reactors, mine security, and traffic controllers. In this paper, a block-based similarity algorithm is proposed in order to detect and track objects in the successive frames. We define similarity and cost functions based on the features of the blocks, leading to less computati...
