Three-stage mining metals supply chain coordination and air pollutant emission reduction with revenue sharing contract
Authors
Abstract:
One of the main concerns of all industries such as mine industries is to increase their profit and keep their customers through improving quality level of their products; but increasing the quality of products usually releases air pollutants. Nowadays the management of air pollutant emissions with harmful environmental and health effects is one of the most pressing problems. In this paper, authors study the decision behaviour and coordination issue of a mining metal three-level supply chain with one supplier (extractor), one mineral processor and one manufacturer. We compare the decentralized and the centralized systems and reduce air pollutant emission by designing a revenue sharing contract for the mentioned decentralized supply chain under cap-and-trade regulation. Finally, a numerical example shows that the designed contract not only provides win-win condition for all supply chain members and increases whole supply chain profit but also reduces harmful air pollutant emissions in the supply chain.

Coordination of supply chain with revenue sharing contract in a fuzzy environment: Investigation and analysis
The coordination of a decentralized supply chain can be achieved by adopting supply chain contracts. This paper investigates how a decentralized supply chain can be coordinated by a revenue sharing contract, in which the supplier offers the retailer a lower wholesale price in return for a percentage of the retailer’s revenue. Salvage value and goodwill loss are taken into consideration, since i...
full textSupply Chain Coordination with Revenue-Sharing Contracts: Strengths and Limitations
Under a revenue-sharing contract, a retailer pays a supplier a wholesale price for each unit purchased plus a percentage of the revenue the retailer generates. Such contracts have become more prevalent in the video cassette rental industry relative to the more conventional wholesale price contract. This paper studies revenue-sharing contracts in a general supply chain model with revenues determ...
full textSupply Chain Coordination through a Revenue-Sharing Contract with Two Kinds of Fuzzy Demand
This paper studies a supply chain coordinated by a revenue-sharing contract in fuzzy environment. Two kinds of fuzzy programming models are discussed: revenue-sharing contract with fuzzy linear demand model and fuzzy iso-price-elastic demand model. Supply chain coordination in both centralized decision setting and centralized decision setting are achieved by obtaining the optimal solutions in t...
full textSupply Chain Coordination Using Revenue- Sharing Contract with Distributor’s Effort Dependent Demand
Revenue-sharing contracts are a kind of mechanism aimed at improving performance and achieving precise coordination of the supply chain. In this paper, we analyse and develop the revenue-sharing contract model of the three-level supply chain with distributor’s sales effort dependent demand. The paper discusses the impacts of sales efforts on coordination of the supply chain and explains the rea...
full textCoordinated revenue-sharing Contract for a two-stage supply Chain with linear stepwise inventory Holding Costs
In this paper, the authors focus on examining the coordination mechanisms for a two-stage supply chain comprising one supplier and one retailer. The authors consider such a channel relationship that the transaction quantity between the two members is sensitive to the supplier’s inventory level and that the supplier’s unit inventory holding cost has a linear stepwise structure. They devise a coo...
full textAnalysis of a Revenue-Sharing Contract in Supply Chain Management
We consider a supply chain involving one supplier and one retailer in which a revenuesharing contract is adopted. Under this contract, the retailer can obtain the product from the supplier at a discounted price. As a compensation, the retailer must share his revenue with the supplier at a certain revenue-sharing rate, say r (0 ≤ r ≤ 1), where r represents the portion of the revenue to be kept b...
