Definition and Properties of the Libera Operator on Mixed Norm Spaces

We consider the action of the operator ℒg(z) = (1 - z)(-1)∫ z (1)‍f(ζ)dζ on a class of "mixed norm" spaces of analytic functions on the unit disk, X = H α,ν (p,q) , defined by the requirement g ∈ X ⇔ r ↦ (1 - r) (α) M p (r, g ((ν))) ∈ L (q) ([0,1], dr/(1 - r)), where 1 ≤ p ≤ ∞, 0 < q ≤ ∞, α > 0, and ν is a nonnegative integer. This class contains Besov spaces, weighted Bergman spaces, Dirichlet...

Operator-valued bases on Hilbert spaces

In this paper we develop a natural generalization of Schauder basis theory, we term operator-valued basis or simply ov-basis theory, using operator-algebraic methods. We prove several results for ov-basis concerning duality, orthogonality, biorthogonality and minimality. We prove that the operators of a dual ov-basis are continuous. We also dene the concepts of Bessel, Hilbert ov-basis and obta...

Superposition Operators on Dirichlet Spaces

In the context of a strongly local Dirichlet space we show that if a function mapping the real line to itself (and fixing the origin) operates by composition on the left to map the Dirichlet space into itself, then the function is necessarily locally Lipschitz continuous. If, in addition, the Dirichlet space contains unbounded elements, then the function must be globally Lipschitz continuous. T...

The Backward Shift on Dirichlet-type Spaces

We study the backward shift operator on Hilbert spaces Hα (for α ≥ 0) which are norm equivalent to the Dirichlet-type spaces Dα. Although these operators are unitarily equivalent to the adjoints of the forward shift operator on certain weighted Bergman spaces, our approach is direct and completely independent of the standard Cauchy duality. We employ only the classical Hardy space theory and an...
