Abstract:

The use of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) grade water is very important for laboratory studies, especially food quality control. These studies have a great impact on diagnosing food health. Food health improves the health of the community and these two parameters are closely related. HPLC grade water is ultra-pure water with low UV absorption ability. This water is often purified through a micron filter and all contaminants are removed. Methods: Thirty samples of HPLC grade water with Iranian and non-Iranian brands purchased from Tehran were tested for electrical conductivity and silica. Results: The quality of all the tested samples was approved which was lower than the allowable limit. None of the Iranian and non-Iranian samples exceeded the standard limit. Conclusion: This study indicated the good quality of this product. It was concluded that all the samples had desirable quality

High-Performance Liquid Chromatography Determination of Methotrexate in Plasma

This article describes a simple and fast high-performance liquid chromatography method for the determination of methotrexate (MTX) in plasma. Samples were collocted from children receiving high-dose MTX at shafa Hospital (Ahvaz University of Medical sciences, Ahvaz, iran) at various times after the end of eachinfusion. Plasma was deproteinized with trichloroacetic acid and the supernatant was i...

High Performance Liquid Chromatography Determination of Sertraline in Human

An accurate and sensitive reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatograph-ic method for determination of sertraline in human serum is described using 4-chloro-7-nitrobenzofurazan as pre-column derivatization agent. The drug and an internal standard (azithrimycin) were extracted from serum using a mixture of diethyl ether-chloroform and subjected to the pre-column derivatization with...

High-performance liquid chromatography of water-soluble choline metabolites.

We have developed a new method for the separation of [3H]choline metabolites by high-performance liquid chromatography. Using this method it is possible to separate, in one step, all of the known major water-soluble choline metabolites present in crude acid extracts of cells that have been incubated with [3H]choline, with baseline or near-baseline resolution. We use a gradient HPLC system with ...

Determination of estrogens in water samples using dispersive liquid liquid microextraction and high performance liquid chromatography.

A new method for the analysis of estrogens including estrone (E1), 17b- estradiol (E2) and diethylstilbestrol (DES) in aqueous samples was performed using dispersive liquid liquid microextraction (DLLME) and high- performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). In order to optimize DLLME some important parameters such as type and volume of extraction and disperser solvent, extraction time, ionic stre...

Determination of some B Vitamins in Sour Cherry Juice Using Dispersive Liquid-liquid Microextraction Followed by High-performance Liquid Chromatography

Dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction method (DLLME) combined with high-performance liquid chromatography-ultraviolet detection (HPLC-UV) was used to determine thiamine (B1), nicotinamide (B3) and pyridoxine (B6) in sour cherry juice. This method was rapid, simple and sensitive. Separation was accomplished using a C18 column. The optimum chromatographic conditions were found to be: mobile ph...
