Somewhat-connectedness and somewhat-continuity in the product space
Authors
Abstract:
In this paper, the concept of somewhat-connected space will be introduced and characterized. Its connection with the other well-known concepts such as the classical connectedness, the $omega_theta$-connectedness, and the $omega$-connectedness will be determined. Moreover, the concept of textit{somewhat}-continuous function from an arbitrary topological space into the product space will be characterized.

Somewhat circular tensile cracks
In this paper we apply the method developed by Rice [1], of solving for the elastic field of a crack with a front perturbed from some reference shape, to solve the elasticity problems of somewhat circular planar tensile cracks under arbitrary load distributions. The method is based on a known solution for the stress intensity factor along a circular crack due to a pair of wedge-opening point fo...

The notion of a Markov chain is ubiquitous in linear algebra and probability books. In linear algebra a Markov chain is a sequence {xk} of vectors defined recursively by a specified vector x0, a square matrix P and the recursion xk = Pxk−1 for k = 1, 2, . . .. That is, xk = P x0. Natural probabilistic restrictions are imposed on x0 and P . It is assumed that x0 is a probability vector; that is,...

We define and characterize a somewhat fuzzy γ-irresolute continuous mapping and a somewhat fuzzy irresolute γ-open mapping on a fuzzy topological space. AMS Mathematics Subject Classification : 54A40.
full textThe Complexity of Somewhat Approximation Resistant Predicates
A boolean predicate f : {0, 1} → {0, 1} is said to be somewhat approximation resistant if for some constant τ > |f −1(1)| 2k , given a τ -satisfiable instance of the MAX k-CSP(f) problem, it is NP-hard to find an assignment that strictly beats the naive algorithm that outputs a uniformly random assignment. Let τ(f) denote the supremum over all τ for which this holds. It is known that a predicat...
full textOn somewhat fuzzy semicontinuous functions
Ever since the introduction of fuzzy sets by L. A. Zadeh [14], the fuzzy concept has invaded almost all branches of Mathematics. The concept of fuzzy topological space was introduced and developed by C.L. Chang [3] and since then many fuzzy topologists [1,6-13] have extended various notions in classical topology to fuzzy topological spaces. The concept of somewhat continuous functions was intro...
full textSomewhat Practical Fully Homomorphic Encryption
In this paper we port Brakerski’s fully homomorphic scheme based on the Learning With Errors (LWE) problem to the ring-LWE setting. We introduce two optimised versions of relinearisation that not only result in a smaller relinearisation key, but also faster computations. We provide a detailed, but simple analysis of the various homomorphic operations, such as multiplication, relinearisation and...
