Some Perspectives of Machine Repair Problems
Authors
Abstract:
In this article, we survey machine repair problems (MRP) with an emphasis on historical developments of queuing models of practical importance. The survey proceeds historically, starting with developments in 1985, when the first published review on machine interference models appeared. We attempt to elaborate some basic MRP models of the real life congestion situations. The brief survey of some notable contributions done in the area of machining system has been provided. Many concepts have been incorporated while discussing the machine repair problems under consideration. The purpose of this article is to expose queuing theorists and applied probability analysts to the real time problems that arise in machine repair modeling. This survey may also be useful for machine repair modeling to the practitioners as well as to the researchers.

Some Linguistic Problems in Machine Translation
T HE GEORGETOWN-IBM EXPERIment in machine translation, in which I participated, raised a number of problems of linguistic method and threw light on some important phases of general linguistic theory. The purpose of machine translation (MT) is to have a logical machine perform a task which so far has been performed by skilled human beings only that of translation, that is, “the transference of m...
full textSome problems of machine translation between closely related languages
i ]~e describe the linguistic background of a Czech-to-Russian ~T system, stressing its features resulting from the closed relatedness of the two languages, above all the possibility of a minimization of the transfer. Related linguistic problems are analyzed within the MT project, as well as in the perspective of contrastive linguistics. 1. The system of Czech-to-Russian MT system called RUSLAN...
full textSome Single - Machine Scheduling Problems with a Mixed Learning Function
Recently, the topic of scheduling with learning effects has kept growing attention, and a survey is further provided to classify the learning models in scheduling into two types, namely position-based learning and sum-ofprocessingtimes-based learning. However, the actual processing time of a given job fast drops to zero as the number of jobs increases in the first model and when the normal job ...
full textStudy of Scheduling Problems with Machine Availability Constraint
In real world scheduling applications, machines might not be available during certain time periods due to deterministic or stochastic causes. In this article, the machine scheduling with availability constraints for both deterministic and stochastic cases with different environments, constraints and performance measures will be discussed. The existing body of research work in the literature wil...
full textRepair of complex orbital fractures: technical problems, state-of-the-art solutions and future perspectives.
Within the wide range of severity of orbital fractures, the small group of complex fractures causes most of the sequelae. Therefore identification of severe injuries and adequate treatment is of major importance. The introduction of craniofacial techniques made possible a wide exposure of even large orbital wall defects and their reconstruction by grafts. In spite of significant progresses, rep...
full textsome properties of fuzzy hilbert spaces and norm of operators
in this thesis, at first we investigate the bounded inverse theorem on fuzzy normed linear spaces and study the set of all compact operators on these spaces. then we introduce the notions of fuzzy boundedness and investigate a new norm operators and the relationship between continuity and boundedness. and, we show that the space of all fuzzy bounded operators is complete. finally, we define...
