Abstract:

We shall prove an existence inequality for two maps on Banach algebra, withan example and in sequel we have some results on R and Rn spaces. This waycan be applied for generalization of some subjects of mathematics in teachingwhich how we can extend a math problem to higher level.

Banach Algebra Notes

These notes are for a series of lectures given in functional analysis during Winter term of 2015. The two influences of the presentation here are Banach Algebra Techniques in Operator Theory (2e) by Ronald G. Douglas and Lecture Notes on the Spectral Theorem by Dana P. Williams. The notes start with a presentation of the two facts about nets that are required for the subject matter at hand. We ...

On the Existence of Minimal Ideals in a Banach Algebra

Introduction. In this paper we give a sufficient condition that an algebra have a minimal left (or right) ideal. Specifically, we prove that if A is a complex semisimple Banach algebra with the property that the spectrum of every element in A is at most countable, then A has a minimal left ideal. If A is an ^4*-algebra, we prove that A has a minimal left ideal if the spectrum of every self-adjo...

Some notes on linear algebra

Throughout these notes, k denotes a field (often called the scalars in this context). Recall that this means that there are two binary operations on k, denoted + and ·, that (k,+) is an abelian group, · is commutative and associative and distributes over addition, there exists a multiplicative identity 1, and, for all t ∈ k, t 6= 0, there exists a multiplicative inverse for t, denoted t−1. The ...

Some notes for topological centers on the duals of Banach algebras

We introduce  the weak topological centers of left and right module actions and we study some of their properties.  We investigate the relationship between these new concepts and the  topological centers of of left and right module actions with some results in the group algebras.

On the Existence of an Absolutely Minimal Norm in a Banach Algebra

1. The norm || • || in a Banach algebra A is said to be minimal [l ] if, given any other norm || •||1 in A (with respect to which A need not be complete), the condition ||a||iá||a|| for each oG^4 implies that ||a[|i = ||a||. We shall say that || •|| is absolutely minimal if, given any other norm ||-||i whatever in A, then ||a||iè||a|| for each aEA. An absolutely minimal norm is of course minima...
