Abstract:

In this paper, CuO nanoparticles  have been synthesized via solid- state thermal decomposition using copper(II) Schiff base complexes as new precursors at 600ºC under air atmosphere for 3 h. Surface morphology of the products were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).

Tetranuclear Copper (II) schiff base complexes as new precursor for synthesis of CuO nanoparticles by solid-state thermal decomposition

In this paper, we used tetranuclear copper (II) Schiff base complexes, [Cu4 (μ-sal2hn) (μ-N3)2(N3)2] (1) and [Cu4 (μ-salophen) (μ1, 1-N3)2(N3)2] (2), as new precursor in solid-state thermal decomposition for the synthesis of CuO ...

tetranuclear copper (ii) schiff base complexes as new precursor for synthesis of cuo nanoparticles by solid-state thermal decomposition

in this paper, we used tetranuclear copper (ii) schiff base complexes, [cu4 (μ-sal2hn) (μ-n3)2(n3)2] (1) and [cu4 (μ-salophen) (μ1, 1-n3)2(n3)2] (2), as new precursor in solid-state thermal decomposition for the synthesis of cuo nanoparticles. the crystallinity, purity and morphology of the cuo nanoparticles were characterized by fourier transform infrared (ft-ir), x-ray diffraction (xrd) and s...

Solid State Process for Preparation of Nickel Oxide Nanoparticles: Characterization and Optical Study

In the present work, we report preparation of NiO nanoparticles with well-defined plate morphology by solid-state reaction of NiCl2∙6H2O and the Schiff base ligand N,N′-bis-(3-methoxysalicylidene)benzene-1,4-diamine), as a novel precursor via solid state thermal decomposition method. This method is a simple and environmentally friendly for preparing t...

Preparation of CuO nanoparticles by microwave irradiation

CuO nanoparticles with an average size of ca. 4 nm have been successfully prepared by microwave irradiation, using copper (II) acetate and sodium hydroxide as the starting materials and ethanol as the solvent. The CuO nanoparticles are characterized by using techniques such as X-ray powder diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, selected area electron diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spe...
