Abstract:

Selective transformation of 2-propargylthio-6-methyl-pyrimidin-4(1H)On e (2) to 3,5-dimethyl-7H-thiazolo [3,2-a] pyrimidin-7-one (3) is performed under the conditionof base catalysis . For elucidation of structure, palladium catalyzed cyclization reaction of (2) was carried out and the structures of the products were assigned (5) and (6). These compounds underwent isomerization to (3) and (4) respectively. From this result, regioselectivity by base catalysis was concluded

Cyclohexanespiro-2′-[2′,3′,6′,7′-tetrahydro-1′H-cyclopenta[d]pyrimidin]-4′(5′H)-one

The title compound, C(12)H(18)N(2)O, was synthesized by the reaction of cyclo-hexa-none and 2-amino-cyclo-pent-1-enecarbonitrile. In the mol-ecule of the title compound, the six-carbon ring displays a chair conformation, the six-membered 1,3-diaza ring and the cyclo-pentene ring both assume envelope conformations. Supra-molecular aggregation is achieved by N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

SELECTIVE CYCLIZATION AND IS OMERIZATION OF 3-PROPARGYLTHIO- 1,2,4- BENZOTRIAZINE TO THIAZOLO [2,3-C] [1,2,4] BENZOTRIAZINE

The method cited in the literature for synthesis of 1,2- dihydro 3- thioxo - 1,2,4- benzotriazine 1 was improved .1 was condensed with propargyl bromide to afford 3 - propargylthio – 1,2,4 -benzotriazine 5. Transformation of this compound to 9H-3- methylthiazolo [2,3-c] [1,2,4] benzotriazine ( 3, R = Me) was performed in the presence of Na O Me / MeOH . Orientation of this selective cy...

6-Methylsulfanyl-4H-pyrimido[1,6-a]pyrimidin-4-one

Reaction of 2-(methyl-sulfan-yl)pyrimidin-4-amine with the 5-(methoxy-vinyl-idene) derivative of Meldrum's acid and subsequent heating of the product in Dowtherm fluid yielded the title compound, C(8)H(7)N(3)OS, which was proven to contain a bicyclic 4H-pyrimido[1,6-a]pyrimidine system. All non-H atoms of the mol-ecule are coplanar within 0.15 Å. The bond-length distribution in the bicyclic cor...

7′-Amino-1′H-spiro[cycloheptane-1,2′-pyrimido[4,5-d]pyrimidin]-4′(3′H)-one

The title compound, C(12)H(17)N(5)O, was obtained by cyclo-condensation of 2,4-diamino-pyrimidine-5-carbonitrile with cyclo-hepta-none. The tetra-hydro-pyrimidine ring has a dis-torted boat conformation and the cyclo-heptane ring adopts a chair conformation. In the crystal, molecules are linked via N-H⋯O and N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds generating a three-dimensional network.

3-(2-Chloroethyl)-2-methyl-4H-pyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidin-4-one

In the title mol-ecule, C(11)H(11)ClN(2)O, the pyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidine ring system is planar (maximum deviation = 0.0148 Å) and the methyl C and carbonyl O atoms are nearly coplanar to it. The chloro-ethyl side chain is in a synclinal conformation, nearly orthogonal to the pyrimidine ring, with a dihedral angle between the chloro-ethyl side chain and the pyrimidine ring of 88.5 (1)°. Weak inter...
