Scattering mechanism of nonmagnetic phase on nano diluted magnetic semiconductors (DMS)
author
Abstract:
This paper shows the scattering mechanism at diluted magneticsemiconductors. The doped magnetic atom produces a scattering potential due to becoupled of itinerant carrier spin of host material with magnetic momentum of the dopedmagnetic atom. Formulas of scattering event were rewritten by the plane waveexpansion and then the electron mobility of DMS was calculated. Calculations showKondo effect on diluted magnetic semiconductors at nonmagnetic phase. Here has beensupposed that the doping concentration is low and so the coupling coefficient betweenmagnetic atoms is weak enough that DMS does not change its magnetic phase. In otherwords, material is on paramagnetic phase. For proofing our model, we have grownZn0.99Mn0.01O with Sol-Gel route. Pure ZnO has also grown with this method for acomparison. Experimental results proved our theoretical model. Therefore as a result, atdiluted magnetic semiconductors similar to diluted magnetic metals in nonmagneticphase can observe kondod's effect .

ANALYSIS OF SOME MAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF DILUTED MAGNETIC SEMICONDUCTORS
The susceptibility and specific heat experimental results of the diluted magnetic semiconductors (DMS) are incorporated in a model based on short-range as well as long-range interaction in a random may of magnetic ions. The so-called nearestneighbor pair approximation (NNPA) is applied. It appears that the calculated values of zero field specific heat and Curie-Weiss temperature based on th...

We report the density-functional-theory calculations of the exchange interactions and Curie temperature for a series of III-V and II-VI diluted magnetic semiconductors. We focus the discussion on the role of the holes in the establishing the ferromagnetic order in various systems. We suggest a method of the quantitative characterization of the properties of the holes. It is shown that there are...
full textTheory of Ferromagnetism in Diluted Magnetic Semiconductors
Carrier-induced ferromagnetism has been observed in several (III,Mn)V semiconductors. We review the theoretical picture of these ferromagnetic semiconductors that emerges from a model with kinetic-exchange coupling between localized Mn spins and valence-band carriers. We discuss the applicability of this model, the validity of a mean-field approximation for its interaction term widely used in t...
full textQuantum Transport in Diluted Magnetic Semiconductors
The chapter highlights selected electric charge transport phenomena studied recently in low dimensional structures of DMSs. The first part describes transport phenomena related to the quantum interference of scattered electron waves in diffusive transport regime at the boundary of metalinsulator transition. The second part is devoted to Landau quantization of electronic states, as quantum Hall ...
full textCoherently photoinduced ferromagnetism in diluted magnetic semiconductors.
Ferromagnetism is predicted in undoped diluted magnetic semiconductors illuminated by intense sub-band-gap laser radiation. The mechanism for photoinduced ferromagnetism is coherence between conduction and valence bands induced by the light which leads to an optical exchange interaction. The ferromagnetic critical temperature T(C) depends both on the properties of the material and on the freque...
full textSpin currents in diluted magnetic semiconductors.
We study zero-bias spin separation in (Cd,Mn)Te/(Cd,Mg)Te diluted magnetic semiconductor structures. The spin current generated by electron gas heating under terahertz radiation is converted into a net electric current by applying an external magnetic field. The experiments show that the spin polarization of the magnetic ion system enhances drastically the conversion process due to giant Zeeman...
