Rickets Due To Prolonged Use of Antiepileptic Drugs

Abstract:

La therapeutique ant epileptique de longue duree provoque une profonde modification du metabolisme de la vitamine B et notamment une acceleration du catabolisme de celle-ci.  Les auteurs rapportent un cas de ce type particulier d'osteomalacie et la revue de la lit­terature leur permet de souligner trois points essentiels:  1 ) les besoins journaliers de la vitamine B sontaccrus chez les enfants soumis aux drogues anti-convulsives,  4- Proc.Roy.
