Report of One Case of Splenic Epidermoid Cyst

Abstract:
SUMMARY The non parasitic benign cysts of spleen are rare iesions and can he divided into two groups, primary and secondary. In the cysts in the primary group an epithelial lining is present. Secondary cysts are far more frequent, accounting for 80% of all splenic cyst. ln this article we report about an 23 year old girl admitted with LLQ pain and feeling of abdominal mass. After splenectomy with clinical diagnosis of splenic hydatid cyst,pathologic examination revealed epidermoid cyst of spleen. Splenectomy is the treatment of choice.
