Abstract:

In this research, FeNi@PANI nanocomposites as the electromagnetic wave absorbers were prepared through two following steps. At first, FeNi alloy nanoparticles were synthesized by the one-pot polyol process, and then, in-situ polymerization method was used for the preparation of FeNi@PANI nanocomposite. The XRD pattern confirmed the formation of pure FeNi alloy with the FCC crystalline phase. The VSM results showed that the saturation magnetization of FeNi@PANI nanocomposite is significantly smaller than that of the FeNi alloy nanoparticles. The microwave absorption was measured in the range of 8 to 12 GHz. The obtained results revealed that the presence of the PANI leads to an increase in the wave absorption of FeNi@PANI nanocomposite compared to that of FeNi alloy. The maximum reflection loss of -4 dB (~ 60% of the loss) and a bandwidth of 350 MHz were measured at -3 dB for the prepared nanocomposite.

Effect of NH3/methylaluminoxane/dodecylamine modifiednanoclay on morphology and properties of polyethylene/ clay nanocomposites prepared by in-situ polymerization

This study presents methods for treating a kind of nanoclay and investigates the effects of methylaluminoxane (MAO) exposure time and or dodecylamine (DDA) reflux time on in-situ polymerization of ethylene in the presence of nanoclay and examines the morphology and properties of the prepared polyethylene/clay nanocomposites. The results revealed that by increasing MAO exposure time productivity...

Polysulfone/Clay Nanocomposites by in situ Photoinduced Crosslinking Polymerization

PSU/MMT nanocomposites are prepared by dispersing MMT nanolayers in a PSUmatrix via in situ photoinduced crosslinking polymerization. Intercalated methacrylate-functionalized MMT and polysulfone dimethacrylate macromonomer are synthesized independently by esterification. In situ photoinduced crosslinking of the intercalated monomer and the PSU macromonomer in the silicate layers leads to nanoco...
