Qualitative Properties and Existence of Solutions for a Generalized Fisher-like Equation
Authors
Abstract:
This paper is devoted to the study of an eigenvalue second order differential equation, supplied with homogenous Dirichlet conditions and set on the real line. In the linear case, the equation arises in the study of a reaction-diffusion system involved in disease propagation throughout a given population. Under some relations upon the real parameters and coefficients, we present some existence and nonexistence results. We use a variational method and fixed point arguments.

Existence of positive solutions for a boundary value problem of a nonlinear fractional differential equation
This paper presents conditions for the existence and multiplicity of positive solutions for a boundary value problem of a nonlinear fractional differential equation. We show that it has at least one or two positive solutions. The main tool is Krasnosel'skii fixed point theorem on cone and fixed point index theory.
full textExistence of Solutions for η-Generalized Vector Variational-Like Inequalities
We introduce and study a class of η-generalized vector variational-like inequalities and a class of ηgeneralized strong vector variational-like inequalities in the setting of Hausdorff topological vector spaces. An equivalence result concerned with two classes of η-generalized vector variational-like inequalities is proved under suitable conditions. By using FKKM theorem, some new existence res...
full textExistence of solutions for generalized implicit vector variational-like inequalities
In this paper, we introduce a new class of generalized implicit vector variational-like inequalities in Hausdorff topological vector spaces and Banach spaces which contain implicit vector equilibrium problems, implicit vector variational inequalities and implicit vector complementarity problems as special cases. We derive some new results by using the KKM–Fan theorem, under compact and noncompa...
full textSoliton Solutions of Generalized Fisher Equation and Spalding Equation by Hyperbolic Tangent Function Method
In this paper, the hyperbolic tangent function (tanh) method is used in finding soliton solutions of Generalized Fisher Equation (GFE) and Spalding Equation (SE). It is shown that the tanh method provides a straight forward and powerful tool for solving Nonlinear Evolution Equations (NLEEs) in Mathematical Physics.
full textQualitative Properties of Solutions for an Integral Equation
Let n be a positive integer and let 0 < α < n. In this paper, we continue our study of the integral equation u(x) = ∫ R 1 |x− y|n−α u(y)dy. (0.1) We mainly consider singular solutions in subcritical, critical, and super critical cases, and obtain qualitative properties, such as radial symmetry, monotonicity, and upper bounds for the solutions. full textOn existence and uniqueness of solutions of a nonlinear Volterra-Fredholm integral equation
In this paper we investigate the existence and uniqueness for Volterra-Fredholm type integral equations and extension of this type of integral equations. The result is obtained by using the coupled fixed point theorems in the framework of Banach space $ X=C([a,b],mathbb{R})$. Finally, we give an example to illustrate the applications of our results.
