سرطان یک بیماری مزمن پیشرونده است که با درمانهای تهاجمی سخت و عذاب آور همراه بوده و گاها کشنده می باشد و تعداد فزاینده ای از انسانها در دوره  ای از زندگی خود با آن روبرو می گردند و مدتهای طولانی برای ادامه بقا و حفظ حیات خویش با این بیماری، درمان های خاص و عوارض ناشی از آن درگیر می باشند
