Preparation of Combination Tablet Containing Lisinopril (10mg)/Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5mg): Characterization and Stability studies

Authors: not saved
Abstract:

In modern clinical practice, combination fixed - dose tablets have become a baseline foreffective therapy in many clinical conditions. The Hydrochlorothiazide (Hctz) (12.5mg) /Lisinopril (Lis) (10 mg) tablet is a combination drug for treatment of hypertension. In thisstudy, the tablets were prepared by wet granulation method and characterized in terms of weightvariation, hardness, friability, disintegration time, dissolution and stability. A high-performanceliquid-chromatographic method (HPLC) was used to assay Hctz and Lis in the prepared tablets.Amongst different formulations, WG14 was found to be the best for product development basedon both physicochemical and stability results. Pharmaceutical characteristics of the tablets werecompared with the Innovator tablet 1A-Pharma (Germany).

Preparation, Characterization, Optimization, and Stability Studies of Aceclofenac Proniosomes

The aim of this investigation was to prepare, characterize and optimize the aceclofenac proniosomes using central composite design and carry out stability studies. Three independent variables selected were molar ratio of drug to lipid (X1), surfactant loading (X2) and volume of hydration (X3). Based on central composite design, 16 batches of proniosomes were prepared by slurry method and evalua...

Preparation, Characterization and in vitro Studies of Chitosan Nanoparticles Containing Androctonus Crassicauda scorpion venom

Many strategies have been developed to improve vaccine delivery in the past decade. The aim of the current study was to develop a nanoparticulate system based on ionic gelation between chitosan and tripolyphosphate in order to load Androctonus Crassicauda scorpion venom. The best formulation was selected according to the highest association efficiency, loading capacity, optimum particle size an...

Solid Lipid Nanoparticles Containing Nimesulide: Preparation, Characterization and Cytotoxicity Studies

The prospect of improved cancer therapy using Solid Lipid Nanoparticles (SLNs) as drug delivery system is promising. Several obstacles frequently encountered with anticancer compounds, such as poor drug solubility, are overcome by delivering them using SLN. Moreover, the intravenous administration of drugs into SLNs can potentially enhance drug blood circulation time and improve drug performanc...
